Clean fit, works as advertised

Not sure why BMW didn’t include something like this, but I’m glad someone made it. It gives me extra storage to organize the quarters I need for carts at Aldi. Pros: The color matches the interior very closely and you really have to look to tell it’s not stock. Installation was simple: just pop off the old cap and easily slide in the new one. So far, it’s easy to use and very practical. Cons: It feels a bit cheap, but considering the low cost, it’s understandable. When you look closely, it’s not perfectly flush with the surrounding parts. Overall, a small but useful upgrade for anyone wanting extra coin storage in their BMW.

The vehicle Mod/upgrade was a Christmas gift used on my spouse's 2023 BMW i4 M50 electric sports car. *IF you are mechanically inclined and especially familiar with the simple use of vehicle trim removal/prying tools the removal and installation takes about 60 seconds start to finish from removing the original blanking plate/plug to inserting the new storage compartment. The new storage compartment is made well however it does of course add a plastic lifting door, so use common sense and care not to apply force to the plastic door while it is open. My spouse loves the added functional storage compartment for coins, mints and USB drives for what was only only empty non-functional space. Awesome unique product *IF you are NOT mechanically inclined especially with experience in vehicle audio/video/electronics/disassembly I would recommend watching some how-to videos, contacting a friend or asking a local automotive A/V shop to install it for a small free to avoid breaking anything or scratching up the interior. ( it's all about the technique ( skill ) and proper tool )

I bought this a year ago, and I thought that it would be too flimsy and fall apart Now that I’ve had it a year, it did not fall apart and it’s a perfect addition to my car replacing the dead space that was there. It’s truly for putting coins in a spot rather than dump them all inside your armrest.

I was excited about this organizer since it seemed like a great way to make use of an empty spot in the console. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. The piece leaves a noticeable gap once installed, which makes the console look odd and less seamless. On top of that, the color and material don’t match perfectly — it’s a bit grayer than the factory console, so it stands out like a patch rather than blending in. It might still be functional for some, but I returned it because I prefer accessories that look like they belong in the car’s original design.

Easy install and makes that spot useful for coins or small items.

For someone like me, who isn't really into the mechanical side of things, the process of removing and installing the upgrade was quite a learning curve. It involved using some vehicle trim removal/prying tools, and if you're familiar with these tools, it's a straightforward task – from taking out the original blanking plate/plug to putting in the new storage compartment. If you are not familiar with them, then that just means more time spent on trying to pick up a new skill. The storage compartment is well-made, but it's essential to be careful with the plastic lifting door. The added storage for coins, mints, and USB drives in what used to be an empty, non-functional space is amazing. It's a cool and unique product that adds both functionality and style. Ultimately, if it proves too difficult for you even after watching all the Youtube videos, perhaps just leave it to the professionals. Either buy your mechanically inclined friends a beer or go to a local automotive shop and ask for help. Or just figure it out, sometimes there's alot of fun in thaat!

Finish quality is nothing like OEM. A shame as I really liked the functionality

The product would be very nice and valuable but unfortunately it doesn't fit well in my 2024 BMW i4 M50. As you can see on the picture, there's a gap on the right between the storage box and the console. This gap didn't exist with the original cap. When you spend that much money on a car, you don't want gaps like that; it looks like a bad finish from BMW.
