Jesus Is Here: My Lift-The-Flap Mass Book

Great kids book that is simple yet well explains the “why” behind the aspects of mass. Includes lift the flap pages and nice illustrations. Bought for my friend’s new baby who was recently baptized in the Catholic Church. My friend loved it and was excited for her older son to read it to his new baby brother.

This is such a great mass resource for young kids up to probably kindergarten/1st grade age. It really gets to the heart of WHY we go to Mass and the relationship we have with Jesus at a level that’s perfect for young kids. The flaps are engaging, the artwork is so pretty, the message is perfect with sound theology that is age appropriate but doesn’t feel watered down. I’ve already given a copy to three other families because of how much I love it! I also showed my aunt who is in charge of the religious curriculum in her small parish and she plans on giving this to all the baptism prep parents as well as the families with kids under 1st grade. They already have the Ascension Press Interactive Mass book to the older kids (I have it also-it is definitely more in-depth but it is suited more for slightly older kids) so we were both excited to find this resource for younger kids!

Beautifully illustrated and so helpful for younger ones to understand and follow along during Mass. The pages can be wiped clean with a damp cloth if needed. This little book explains easily the more intricate parts of the Mass so that younger minds can have a better idea of what is going on.

Jesus Is Here was purchased for our 2 and 3 year old grandchildren. It includes details which children will see in their own church. Truly a great concept. ( The flaps could be torn by the 2 year old, but the three year old can easily open the flaps and turn the pages.)

My toddler absolutely loves her “mass book.” Nice illustrations and simple explanations for very young kids. Perfect way to introduce her to the faith and get her interested in going to mass on Sundays.

Kept my grandson entertained, good book for Catholic toddlers! Gave one as a gift as well.

This is a wonderful book that has really helped us teach our daughter about church and the Mass. she loves lifting each flap and learning as we read it. Would definitely recommend this book for any age child.
