The lock is very well made. Its well built. I would reccomend it.

The trunk lock is great and it took an antique paint very well. Perfect size for what I needed though. I wish it would have come with nails or screws.

You get what you pay for with this one. For sure the metal is thin and therefore when you start to put in the nails it bends the metal and therefore made it hard to latch it. I was able to lossen the nails enough to latch it but the latch was wobbly because of that.

It's bright bronze finish over thin steel rather than the tarnished brass of the one I'm replacing, and it is of slightly cheaper construction (mechanism staked to hasp rather than riveted through hinge not riveted for strength), but the footprint and mounting holes seem to align quite well, and stylistically it's close enough. It adds padlock loop, which the original didn't have, and which is also just staked in place, but at worst I can ignore that. Certainly good enough to make the old steamer trunk fully functional, and reasonably priced for what it is.

This one gets a one star from me. I was expecting a brass color or material. Product it’s made out of galvanized sheet metal and painted brushed nickel.

Good quality but definitely "decorative "lock as it can be easily picked open. Would have preferred a "weathered" look as an option as it was a replacement on a 1920's steamer trunk

As per other people's posts, Only arrived with 2 Keys. 4 are advertised

Only 2 keys come with it and there are NO screws.

I only received two keys not four as shown. I tried contacting the seller and have heard nothing back which is disappointing . So just a buyer beware.. not as advertised and portrayed in picture. The lock itself is nice and will replace the original. Not as sturdy as original but will give the same look/appearance.
