When they were as young as two and three years old, we used these with our grandkids. Three years old is probably the best age but even two years old is OK with a little supervision. There is no mess, nothing to stain furniture or clothing. The little paint brushes, nice and thick, hold a fair amount water and when the brushes touch the pictures, they are “magically” filled with color. The grandkids were mesmerized.. It was not onlyfascinating for our grandkids but allowed the adults a bit of time to chat with each other in between having fun with the grandkids and admiring their “paintings”.. But mostly the kids were satisfied coloring on their own and thrilled with the results of their efforts. Are they creating artistic masterpieces? No, but they are having screen free time and enjoying what seems like a magical experience for their age.We kept a number of these around because they offer a variety of pictures and the entertainment value didn’t get old if we did this. I think it took a good year or two for them to outgrow these books.

We bought this Water Wow book (along with a few others) for our kids ages 4, 3, and 2, and they’ve been a lifesaver! Our kids love the feeling of coloring and creating something without us having to worry about any mess. All you do is fill the pen with water, and the kids do the rest. I purchased this as a gift for a three year-old. It’s a great toy to keep in a purse or a car. It’s also great to bring into restaurants for screen free fun. All you need is water to pour into the brush bottle. The photos come to life when they are activated with water. They dry and can be used over and over again.

This is a great activity for anytime theres no school or camp, or if you're in the car, it's a no mess. Brings out their creativity and lets them color how they want. All you need is a little water and it doesn't drip all over the place. Highly highly recommend. It's a lot of fun.

I purchased this for my toddler. It’s a great screen free activity that I can also bring on car rides or use while waiting at a restaurant. The color is bright and it’s been holding up well after multiple uses. Mom hack here! It could also work well as a distraction in the grocery cart on a shopping trip. It fits in my purse and is mess free. We all have water in our water bottles and can easily refill the pen if needed. It could make a great add on gift as well!

My 2 and 4 year-old grandsons love these reusable coloring books. With their reusability and being mess free they are an ideal activity toy. Also great for a car trip. Great quality and a good variety of subjects that kids love.

This is a great activity for kids that is mess free! It is the perfect size to pack when going out and you need something for entertainment for the little ones. I have bought multiple versions of these and my daughter loves them all! It’s great that they are reusable pages too, once they dry you can color again!

Nice to paint with

My daughter is so obsessed with these, I just need to buy them all. She used to draw in the walls now this keeps her busy and because it’s just water it doesn’t mess up anything. The only negative thing is that she sucks the water out sometimes and you must keep filling the pen. After a while of her pressing hard and banging it, the water comes out a bit fast but she still enjoys it. Also great for a distraction when they hate getting in and sitting in the car seat!!!!

Love these and constantly have given them to friends children for presents (and have been appreciated). Perfect toy for restaurants, cafes, airplanes where you need the kids to be quiet and entertained.
