I've used these filters for years because a) they're cheap and b) they're eligible for Amazon Subscribe & Save. On average, I change the filter every 20,000 miles. They fit well and are easy to install. Recently, my old Buick developed a "crank but no start" condition. While diagnosing the issue, I took a look inside the throttle body. I've owned the car for 12 years and never once looked inside (and certainly never cleaned) the throttle body. I was expecting it to be very, very dirty. However, when I took off the honeycomb screen and looked inside, the throttle body was surprisingly clean. In fact, it was shockingly clean for a 20-year-old car. A dirty throttle body definitely wasn't my problem (it turned out to be a bad ECM). I cleaned it out anyway because I had bought some spray, but it didn't really need it. What I took from this experience is that this Fram filter does a darn good job and there's really no reason to buy anything else.

Fits our LeSabre and makes sense as an add-on. It would make even more sense as a subscription if we could ship it once a year, when needed, instead of the current maximum interval of 6 months.

This filter is exactly as described and pictured on Amazon's page. It fits my car perfectly (01 LeSabre). Once I got the air cleaner box opened (the hard part of this operation), the air filter slipped right in, snug and tight, perfect fit. I was in the automotive parts business for 35 years and have been very familiar with Fram products. They are very good, always have been.
