We got these when looking for an alternative to constantly having to mess with ice while on a 10 day road trip. These little fellas work. We used 3 in a 16 quart cooler in the back of the car and they would still be nice and cold, slushy not solid, 8-10 hours in. Definitely delivered for what we needed for the trip and no messy, wet ice to deal with.

I can't regulate my body temperature and I live in a hot humid climate. These allow me to workout inside, walk and garden outside. When I use them they don't last for more than about two hours when I'm working them hard, but that's ok because others barely last 30 minutes. They have a handle and I can loop it to a backpack or over a shoulder and I'm good to go. Because they are needs to start with pellets I'm going to take two of them at a time on the plane and add water once I land and can pop it in a freezer and be good to go.

Second purchase of these. Used them to transport refrigerated meds on an overnight road trip. Way better than ice, kept things very cold and no melting. Highly recommend.

These stay cool for several hours even when not in a cooler. I only wish the would lie flatter since I wanted to use them under a tray and that did not work for me!

Stays cold all day at work and still has chill in the summer when I come home from work, and is frozen still in the winter. Better than store bought ice packs from big box stores imo.

I have the larger cooler shock packs they are excellent. I needed something smaller these are perfect. Works great!

These were very easy to fill but some of them didn't mix evenly. After filling the first couple and not having them mix all the way, i started filling them partway, and then mixing the crystals in then finishing with the rest of the water. The rubber stoppers fit perfectly. Nothing ever spills out (except if you over fill to begin with. The plastic outer, she thing seems to be pretty sturdy. I have not had any damaged or leak. I was surprised though how much surface area the handle takes up. Also, if you don't freeze them flat, you might get a lump in your ice pack, which makes it not fit in your cooler next to your items as easily. But all in all these are a great purchase. The smaller lunchbox size is perfect for a variety of uses. I have used in a backpack with snacks or a sandwich while hiking, in a cooler in lieu of ice, and just loose in a grocery bag to keep 2 gallon bags of sliced watermelon cold. They do really well for a short period of time. Especially outside of a cooler. Inside a cooler or small lunch bag, they do better because it's insulated, but I still find that for a small to medium drink cooler with 5 of these didn't do as well as when we use plain ice. It could be the amount of empty space to drinks or it could be that 5 of these ice packs isn't the same cooling power as a 7lb bag of ice. Either way, they're pretty good, and I would purchase them again or recommend them.
