One Large 3" Inch Diameter Hardened Chrome Solid Steel Bearing Balls, Vigorous Precision Balls

Well let’s just start off with a little info about this heavy, shiny, beauty. Besides the nice and shiny finish, which is almost mirror and could be simply done with some chrome polish and a rag. This thing has some weight to it. It weighs somewhere around 4.5 lbs. which is pretty much too heavy and impractical to use to make a monkey fist. I’m not sure what I can do with it, so I’m keeping it just because it’s huge and heavy. I’ll be polishing it and will post a pic of it as soon as it’s finished. The price was good, got it fast, and is exactly what I wanted. I have no complaints or regrets with this purchase. Thank you.

Sometimes you just buy something because you know it will feel good in your hands. This really does! It's about the size of a baseball and satisfyingly heavy. I like to keep it on my desk on the little TPU stand I made for it. If you need a stand for yours, a 3/4" washer should work or a thin piece of wood with a hole drilled in it. Just make sure the hole is large enough to keep the ball stable but not so large that it protrudes on the other side. Nice fidget toy! Just don't drop it! You might break something!

I keep these by my desk at work and will take them out during video calls and roll them around in one hand or the other. I'm 6 feet tall and have large hands, so a smaller size may be more appropriate for shorter people. They're surprisingly heavy, bringing to mind a teaspoon of neutron star material that weighs as much as the entire earth. They also never fail to amaze me at the level of human ingenuity that is capable of creating something so hard, yet also so perfectly smooth and spherical. I also have a pair of 2" hollow Chinese metal balls with bells inside them that I used for years, but now they feel oddly light and insubstantial compared to these solid metal balls. Those also inspire wonder at how they managed to get the bells inside of them without leaving a trace on the outside. I'm sure these are intended for use as actual ball bearings in gigantic machinery, or the foundations of those buildings in Portland, Oregon that are designed to move around in the event of an earthquake. But they're also very useful if you just want to roll them around in your hands for relaxation, to build strength, or pretend that you're Fletcher Christian in "Mutiny on the Bounty."

This is one big bad to the bone heavy ball bearing. Kind of reminds me of shot put balls but super shiny and it comes delivered packaged with care oiled up and everything it almost looks like a crystal ball and it's heavy

These bearings are perfect for my display. I am sure they would be great for their intended use, but I am using them as decorations in a display. These precision cut bearings work well and they add that little extra exactly where it is needed. All 5 bearings are in great condition. The size and shine are exactly what I hoped for when I bought them. The bearing size is very good as is their weight. They are very durable, too. Recommended... in displays and in their original, intended use.

What more could you ask for? They're big, they're metal, they're round. Bought to help weigh down filament spools in an ams-1. Went up a size based on anecdotal mentions of 1.5" and 1.75" sometimes not being heavy enough. 2.0" is a bit too heavy unless the spool is VERY low, so if you're here reading reviews about giant ball bearings because of your 3D printer spools slipping, be advised these 2" ones are a bit too heavy No marks off for the product or seller of course, the product is as advertised and of good quality.

Not spherical, 0.2mm out of round. Also not 3.5" in diameter. Actually 3.550" average diameter.

Great finish, excellent weight. If you are looking for a HEAVY "fidget toy", you won't be disappointed.
