NarwhalCo Set of 2 Small Pens (3.35") for Pocket, Wallet, Planner, Purse or Passport

I purchased this set of two pens over three years ago now, and I've used them almost every day since for small notes to myself in my wallet. They're the perfect tiny size for something like that. Now, with three years of working with them, I can say the following: (1) They are _extremely_ robust. I've dropped them in (many) parking lots, stepped on them, and otherwise completely abused them and other than some wear on the logo for the company, there were no issues for over three years (see below for an issue with one pen after three years). (2) They write smoothly and for a surprising amount of time on one ink cartage assuming you're not writing a novel every day with them. I am still going through the original ink refills that came with mine. I did sign up for free ink replacements, but haven't had to use them. (3) Having two of them is very helpful for someone who is a bit forgetful. I clip one to my wallet, but I still keep losing it by putting it down somewhere, dropping it in the car, etc. With a second pen, instead of having to stop everything I'm doing to search for it, I just use a backup while I wait to I find it. It sounds like a stupid thing to be happy about, but really it's reduced a lot of stress needing to find my favorite pen I've (temporarily) lost. (4) The ink/pen can write easily on skin in an "emergency note" situation. I've done this many times over the years. I understand that this is _not_ the intended use, but it's a "good to know" for people like me who occasionally prefer to use an X on their hand instead of a string on their finger. Anything bad? Well, part of why I am writing this review now is to say that after three years of almost constant use, one of the pens finally stopped working properly. That, in my experience, is a very long lifetime for a pen, so that's _good_. What happened? Well, the place where the top and bottom of the pen meet has become just a little loose, so the tip-covering slowly sinks down while writing and has to keep being pushed up. Additionally, it doesn't open efficiently anymore because there isn't enough friction on the twist-mechanism. I've contacted the company to see if there is any way to repair this easily (since I signed up for the warranty when I got the pens I might as well ask). I'll update this review if they get back to me, but if you don't see an update, assume I just bought another set since they're not expensive :P So, overall, excellent pens, I highly recommend them, and like some other reviewers: I can't believe I felt the need to review a pen :P

I started journaling this year and I was looking for a pen to carry all the time to go along my mini notebook. This is the ticket. I can carry it in my Chums wallet. It clips easily to the outer pocket in the wallet (the one with the key ring) and just disappears. All the edges are nicely rounded and I don't think it will damage the wallet over time. I feels good in the hand, it is a bit small and smooth, but that's the point. I don't plan to write for long periods of time with it anyways. It writes smoothly and it doesn't skip. I just got it recently so I haven't had a chance to use their refill warranty. The price is very good for two pens, with refills and nice packaging. Really can't beat it. I have other mini pens that I've been trying for EDC, but this one covers all the bases: carry all the time, writes well, good built quality, comfortable for its size, at a great price and with a lifetime refill warranty.

I'm about to leave on a trip and wanted a pen that would fit in my wallet. This is a two pack and my expectations were low, but the size looked perfect. Not only is the size perfect for my front pocket wallet, but these things feel great in the hand. It's small, but has a really good weight and heft for writing. The quality of the pen build itself is impressive. This thing should last a lifetime and I like it better than my Space Pen, which has been capless for years (anyone find a space pen cap at LAX?) The twist opening and solid clip make this pen even more perfect. The only minor down side is that I prefer a fine point. But, this baby writes smoothly and hasn't pooled, nor spit ink on the page. It writes smoothly. Gets even better. What prompted my review is I wanted blue ink. My pens came with all black. But I registered the purchase, using the amazon order number on the Narwhal.com site; and they are sending me two blue refills for free. They send free refills for life. That's crazy! I'm going to buy a set for my friends that also travel. And, the pens come in a cool looking test tube container with a cap. Classy!

These are great little pens! I keep one in my pocket every day and find myself using it frequently. It writes smoothly with no ink blobs. It’s a simple but well built. Overall fit and finish is good. It’s a slim and sleek design. The small size means it’s super lightweight. Now it is a very small pen and and for me it took a bit of practice to be able to write neatly but that’s to be expected. The one issue I had was with the card that comes with the pens offering two free ink refills per year. The link it sends you to comes up as a dead page. I retried several times just in I had made a mistake but the link never worked. After a quick web search I went to the company’s site and the registration instructions were quick and easy to follow. In fact I ordered my first refill today and have already received confirmation that my order is on the way as well as a second message with a thank you note for placing the order. There was no charge as advertised. All in all for my needs these pens are exactly what I was looking for in a pocket pen and I am very satisfied with them.

Pretty smooth writing, size is perfect for sliding them into my tiny spiral notepad, looks great, easy to replace the ink. Good quality pens. Expensive side but worth it if you want mini pens.

tengo años usando una mini pluma Zebra en mi cartera y me ha servido mucho incluso en ocasiones sacandome de algun apuro... por eso siempre tengo una pluma de este tipo en mi cartera. Usualmente compraba esta pluma Zebra como un juego, que incluía un lapicero mini. Todo muy bien, hasta que desaparecieron de donde las compraba (Office Depot) y en Amazon estaban a un precio ridiculo. Asi que cuando vi estas a un precio muy atractivo y por un par de plumas decidí probarlas y vaya, son magnificas. Trae dos plumas y dos repuestos adicionales. Y dice que tiene suministro de repuestos de POR VIDA sin costo. (No se si esto sea cierto o posible, pero, es buena mercadotecnia, jaja) Muy recomendable el producto!

Been using these as a pen that fits in my passport holder for a few years. Sturdy, lightweight, slim and just keeps working. Absolutely a must buy if you're looking for a high quality pen for travel. Great for keeping a small journal as well on your travels.
