SANDISK Ultra Fit 128GB, USB-A Flash Drive, Up to 400MB/s Read Speeds

I bought the 128GB SanDisk Ultra Fit to add some extra storage without having a full-size USB stick sticking out of the side of my computer, and it's been excellent. The biggest advantage is its size. It's so small that once it's plugged in you barely notice it's there, making it ideal for leaving permanently connected to a desktop PC, laptop or media device without worrying about knocking it. Despite its compact size, performance is impressive. I regularly use it for transferring documents, photos and video files, and it's noticeably quicker than older USB memory sticks I've owned. The 128GB capacity is also plenty for carrying a large amount of data around. Build quality is exactly what I'd expect from SanDisk. I've used their memory cards and flash drives for years in everything from cameras to computers, and they've always proved dependable. If you need a USB drive that can effectively become permanent extra storage without protruding from the device, this is an excellent choice. Small, fast, reliable and excellent value for money.

Item was delivered on time and works fine. 64Gb seems about the best value for money. The short length is better than the longer ones as there is much less chance of it getting broken if permanently left in the USB socket. I would buy it again. Update 9/12/2024: I've purchased 64Gb types of this drive before, this one is 256Gb. I've found them to be reliable and being compact they do not protrude much from the USB port and are therefore less likely to be damaged like the longer types. I bought it to record TV programmes, my (ancient) Samsung TV has a USB port and is able to record to suitable memory sticks plugged into it. The TV needs to format the memory stick differently than the default formatting that comes with it. When formatting it checks that the drives write and read speeds are sufficient to record to. I've found that these SanDisk Ultra Fit ones are one of the few that are fast enough for the TV to record to. Many other types may claim faster speeds but my TV reports they are too slow. This one, like the other SanDisk ones, works fine. My 64Gb one has run out of space but this 256Gb will store a lot more. Note than when formatted the capacity is 232.9Gb and it is normal for this to be less than the stated capacity of 256Gb. It is confusing that it says in the description heading "speeds up to 400 MB/s read" but in the details lower down it states "Write speed 4 megabytes_per_second"! These speeds are for drives of 128GB to 512GB capacity. However, the speed of the drive will also depend on the device that it's being used with and whether its a USB 2 or USB 3 port etc. I've no way of measuring the actual read/write speeds but it's fast enough for my requirements. I am happy with the drive and would puchase one again.

OK - firstly it is a nice, fast external drive. I have the 128GB version and for file storage it's great. I want to use it as an occasional use device to transfer files or save them when needing to take stuff off my hard drive. It's small. Barely longer than my thumbnail. Two issues here - 1) it's small and neat, which for me is good 2) it could be easy to misplace. Your call as to whether you prefer something longer if you are considering this. There is no cap over the USB connector - but I don't see that as a problem, just saying. If you are going to need dust protection this may be a factor. There is a very narrow slot that enables you to put it on a keyring - which is what I wanted to do so I always have it with me and don't need to go looking for it in a bag etc. However, this part is plastic and I don't know yet (only been using it a few days) how robust that will be when in a pocket and the device gets a bit of rough handling - there is zero movement in the slot now it's on the keyring (it's pressing against the metal of the ring so need to be gentle in folding the keys away to insert it in the laptop socket) so I could see it snapping which would be a bad thing for ensuring it stays safe and then it would make it harder to keep handy all the time on travels. since the device itself is so small, keeping track of where it is in pockets or bags will be harder. But for now it's on the keyring and I highlight a potential problem, not at present an actual one. If I bought again I might prefer to go for a longer unit, but then one gets the problem of another bulkier thing to have on a keyring. Pros and cons of first world problems, eh? :-) The preloaded software for creating a SecureVault for files stored on the drive is easy to use, if you want or need to use it. Enables a robust password that protects access to files you store there. If you want to delete this feature it's also easy. I removed it to begin with as I needed to update Navigation software in my car and the vehicle seemed to have difficulty finding the files if not in the root directory, so I took off all the pre-loaded files, did the nav software update and then reinstalled the SanDisk stuff. All easy. No other spamware, trial software or other stuff included (which isn't the case with some removable drives. So good for SanDisk there). So think about what you need in a portable drive - performance is great. Is the hardware right for your purpose? For me, a better keyring hook, probably metal, would make it perfect.

This is a mighty little bit of kit Do I just use this to pop some of my favourite movies onto , I can plug it into my UHD4K & play them I’ve 2 4K TV’s, I need a media box for my smart Tv, So I plug this into my media box then a HDMI into my smart Tv & boom I’ve 4K movie You can buy “4K media players” on here for €£50 that play all files & this works perfect with it & with my Android TCL 85Inch I use the media play with this for my smart Tv as Android is normally always better The USB Quality is amazing, Why..? It’s SanDisk if you buy SanDisk Rest Assured your files movies pics are save will last will read & right, upload & Dl the speeds it says It’s a tiny bit more expensive but when you buy a Pro or Extreme USB/Micro sd Or any SanDisk it will work in 99% of everything you plug it into Yes it’s Exfat , but all you need to do is Plug it in , right click , hit format / properties & you can change it to your needs - Exfat only will let you View 4G file / movie Where as NTFS will play any size file but less machines take it … BUT If you have a new laptop Tv / phone / iPad your good So this is an amazing buy for 4K streaming with the speeds , it comes with encryption but it’s up to you to use it , it’s really well made & you will get a life time out of it as long as you don’t lose it lol it’s very small Only con small can = heat , but in saying that it’s Sandisk so you don’t need to worry , plug it out when not using it It finds into usb ports perfectly as everything sandisk does. So would i recommend 100% & the design of it looks super cool too there is always that lol

Had bought previously and sadly lost. Great USB stick, fast data transfer, light, versatile and durable never had an issue with the previous and used often. It had gone up quite a bit since last buying (£17.99) but still worth that extra fiver compared to other sticks on the market

Very nice and useful... However, it is very small and can easily get lost... have about 50 of these for several years and not one has ever crashed..

Purchased both 128 and 256. Very impressed with its speed, especially given small form factor. Great value for money at £11 and £20 respectively. Read @ 350+ MB/s and Write at 170 MB/s (burst), 70-100MB/s (sustained). Only downside is that it is constructed from very thin plastic, meaning it has to be very carefully handled and will not last nearly as long as traditional USB sticks - Hence only 4.5 stars really. Saying that I would buy more of these in the future. For me the impressive speed and value make this is clear winner.

I specifically searched for a USB-C flash drive and this item came up in the results. Based on the product title, photos, and description, I believed it was a USB-C drive. However, when it arrived, I was disappointed to find that it is actually a USB Type-A drive. Nowhere in the listing did it clearly state that it does not have a USB-C connector, and the images were not clear enough to show the difference. This is misleading and frustrating, especially when you rely on Amazon’s search and product listings to be accurate. If you're looking for a USB-C drive, this is not it.

Excelente PenDrive! É o segundo deste modelo que adquiro, pois sei que é um produto de qualidade! Tenho outros da Kingston também, mas em termos de velocidade e durabilidade esse é melhor! Um eu utilizo no meu NES mini para colocar mais jogos via armazenamento USB e funciona perfeitamente, sem engasgos ou demoras em carregar, já com o Kingston, quando funciona, dá umas engasgadas bravas! A velocidade não é das melhores, mas para as minhas necessidades me atendem muito bem. O seu tamanho minúsculo pode ser um problema para pessoas descuidadas e perdê-lo facilmente, então atenção! Produto muito bom, original, de qualidade e me atendeu muito bem! Recomendo!

This storage is exactly what I was looking for - small and compact so it won't get knocked out of my computer and damage my files, with plenty of space to store my teaching documents and transfers files at lightning speed. I'm so happy with this purchase. Highly recommended Ǔ
