Working great as main speakers in a small car
These TS-D65F speakers are working great as full-range speakers in the rear deck in my little old Tercel. I am too old to hear the extreme highs, but the bass and mids are quite tight and clear. I would say the lower mids were a little strong, but this was easily correctable with the head unit's EQ. Bass needed a slight boost for my ears, but can go from clean to muddy very quickly, so dialing in the ideal level via my head unit's bass & loudness controls was tricky. That's to be expected, though. I can see why these are recommended as door speakers in larger vehicles. As the main speakers in a small car without a subwoofer, they are acceptable, and far superior to the budget Kickers I had before. Pioneer may not have the reputation it once had, but so far, I have no regrets and feel this was money well spent ($125 for the pair in April 2024). Note: they come with 8 mounting screws, no covers or trim.

Audiophile quality!
Some of the best out there. Pioneer sells a lot of this series for a reason. They sound amazing! The d series is one of the best values out there. They sound full and warm and have bass! Yes bass! Amp them and these bad boys scream with full sound including making your mirror shake. They sound that good!

Big upgrade for my Ford F150
Put these in my 2016 Ford F-150 crew cab. All it took was about an hour of my time, a helpful YouTube video and a door panel toolkit from Amazon. Great sound and big upgrade over the cheap factory speakers.
