Great relief for lower back pain, easy to use
I’ve used these for lower back pain and they’ve been really helpful when I need something quick and easy for relief. What I like: Stays in place well with the wrap design Covers a good area of the lower back Reusable and easy to switch between uses Flexible enough to stay comfortable while wearing Things to know: Fit may vary depending on body size Mostly for stationary use, not something you’ll wear while moving around a lot Who this is good for: Lower back pain or soreness (I have a herniated disc) Sciatica discomfort Anyone wanting an easy at-home relief option Final thoughts: These are one of those things that are just nice to have on hand. Simple, effective, and make dealing with back pain a little more manageable.

Good for bulging discs
Best relief for bulging discs. Gives some support while also giving me the cooling relief I need. Stays cold awhile, comfortable and comes with an extra ice pack.

Works on Tummies and Tuchases
This is another 4.4 for me. The Comfytemp Ice Packs dd the trick for my back AND abdominal pain. Each of the two cool gel packs is 12" wide and 7 1/4" tall. They appear durable and they are flexible. The Strap has a mesh pocket that is secured with hook and loop closure and the outside is soft and also fastens with hook and loop (am I allowed to say velcro?). I LIKE this and will recommend it because it will fit various sized people. the waist strap wrapped WAY around my 26" waist. It slipped when I was walking. I could not get it tight enough to stay in place. I also did not care for the mesh pattern or feel against my bruised skin. It didn't bother my unbruised and less sensitive back at all. I tried flipping it so the mesh was on the outside and not against my sensitive skin, but I didn't feel the cold as much. These DON'T get extra cold so you won't damage your skin with a freeze burn. I appreciate the fact the plastic on the gel packs is thick and the gel inside seems to be a good thick but pliable viscosity. The seams (well, edges) appear well-sealed (I'm pretty harsh when I hurt) and they don't have sharp points. I appreciate the smoothness. I'm not proud to have lots of experience with ice packs through the years. These take less than a half hour to get cold, and, like most, gave me 15-20 minutes of cooling pain relief. Usually the recommendation for injuries is 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. These serve the purpose and I can do front and back at the same time if I am lying down, or I can rotate one on me and the other in the freezer. This set of 2 gel packs with the strap was $19.99. They are absolutely worth that price! They came quickly (YAY!) in a neat little blue box.

Perfect for lumbar back surgery recovery
The Velcro isn’t of the best quality, but I found that if you just squeeze the ends together hard when you put it on, it does work better. That was my only issue with it. I had back surgery (L5-S1) recently and ice has been very needed and this is the perfect avenue to get it where I need. It fits pretty well under my clothes at work too! I got 3 different ones of these for variety, extras, and so I would have some at work, and they’re all pretty great. I would have to say this one is the most functional as it just stays where it needs to be and nothing more. But I do wish the ice packs were bigger on this one. But it’s not much of an issue. I also got the one that’s the large ice pack with the velcro straps attached to it directly. I love it, but unless it’s under clothes that hold it down, the top and bottom kind of roll out or get moved when I sit in my office chair. The last one I got which I want to love the most but can’t quite is the large one with the brace. The reason I can’t love it the most is when you pull it tight with the brace, the lack of good velcro on the ends make it easy for it to come apart, especially when sitting down and standing up frequently for work. Also, the corners of the velcro for the brace part are SHARP and have sliced open my palm, the back of my hand, and my arms. They 100% need to be under thicker clothing or else they’re dangerous. That being said, I do use that one the most at work because it keeps the ice pack exactly where I need it all of the time. Take what you will from this, but there’s no comparison to trying to make an ice pack stay on you any other way when you’re trying to move around. The ice packs themselves are amazing too. If you use them by themselves when you’re laying down, they’re perfect.

Loses temp fast
This product has helped with my lower back pain, however it does not stay cold for long enough. It's back to room temp in about 20 minutes then needs a few hours to refreeze. Also the velcro pokes at you if it's not lined up perfectly bc the hook side faces out rather than in.

Savior for my lower back pain
This wrap has been a game changer for my lower back pain. It's very convenient how the packs are swappable so I can always have one ready to go. I usually wear it on the drive to the office and then when I get home, the second pack is ready to go. They last for more than a half hour and seem well made. The size is great for me as well (I wear size 34 pants) and could probably fit someone who is quite a bit larger. I have two minor gripes, which aren't enough to deduct a star. The first thing is that the mesh pocket that holds the cold pack is held together by a velcro strip right in the middle. If you wear it with direct skin contact, it can be itchy and scratchy. It's a non issue if you use it over a shirt. The second problem is that after a couple weeks of use, the main velcro that keeps it on has already lost its strength so the wrap keeps falling off. I have found that if I really mash the two pieces together and try not to move around too much with it on, it does ok. I suppose with some sewing and some industrial velcro strips, I can solve this myself in the future.
