Protective hairstyle yes, for wash and go I don’t think so
I don’t use this for hold or anything, I used it for a protective hair style. It’s nice and not drying at all like most gels. Don’t feel like it’s irritated my scalp, it can hold down the hair so it doesn’t stay jumbo. It’s a bit sticky but not hard to apply and does its job due to that so. It’s a good price too and would buy again. I have type 4 hair for any of my sistas wonderingg.

I use it to lubricate the zip on my leather shoulder bag. It makes it work very smoothly and does not pose a risk to damaging what is in the bag as other lubricants would
