I bought this as a lark after accepting a dare to learn some "fan language" and was not expecting too much for the price. The fan turned out to be a sturdy but light wood with elegant lace like fabric. More importantly, the outer vanes have that slight curve that helps the fan stay tightly together when folded, but its not so tight you cannot snap it open for grand gestures. It comes with a cloth cover that matches the fan.

It looks good but is not practical as a working fan. May work as a prop, The lace makes it hard to fold and store when used to function as a fan to cool. I returned this item and would not recommend if you need it as a cooling or fanning tool.

Poor quality and small for the dimensions stated for this fan. It doesn't open or close properly. Also discoloration on the bamboo parts.

I bought this to help keep me cool during a show in July in a theatre with no air conditioning. It worked well. It is a little stiff for things like clacking and fast opens, but it does the job and looks lovely. It is definitely my purse fan this summer. It comes with a cute cloth carrying case.
