Super happy with this little unit. It’s not noisy. Much much better than the noisy Sony i bought. I’ve not yet tried a region 1 dvd in it yet (says it is multi-regional) and will update once i have (awaiting delivery of dvd from the US). Fantastic value for money. I was dubious as never heard of the brand oakcastle - but it is MUCH better than the sony player - i guess because sony probably don’t make their own dvd players anymore. I’ve given it 5 stars. I only got it today! Set it up easily. And enjoying my DVDs! Will update again in a few weeks - hopefully it will be working just as well then too! As promised- an update. DVD player still working! And it is playing region 1 DVDs! Still quiet in operation. Still super happy with this player. Recommend!

Item arrived on time same day; well packaged; nice design, compact and very good picture. very easy to set up; only owned one day but overall faultless and good value for price. One criticism for Amazon! I have a porch; every driver places deliveries in my porch except this one! It was left in the dark on my path - if it had been raining you would be receiving a returned drowned dvd player

Arrived same day so super fast delivery. Small and compact DVD player just what I needed for my space, actually surprised at just how small it is, barely bigger than the DVD case. Easy to set up, almost plug and play its that simple. Everything you need is in the box including a HDMI cable and batteries for the remote. The remote works well and the picture format is easily changed to fit the screen using the very basic settings menu. Lost a star due to the HDMI cable being far too short, unless unlike me you are putting the DVD right beneath your TV, but I happened to have a spare HDMI in a longer length so no issue for me. The unit is very light and very plasticy but for the price £23 I'm hardly going to complain. Time will tell if I have any function issues but for now Im glad to have a cheap little DVD player so I can rewatch some old movies I haven't seen in years. So far so good......

Really good quality dvd player. Nice compact size and comes complete with several different cables to attach to TV. No set up required, just plugged in the hdmi cable and it immediately connected to my Samsung TV and soundbar.

Such a great deal, and a great little player -- don't let that brilliant DVD collection of yours go to waste! While DVDs may have fallen out of fashion, we still enjoying watching the discs we have amassed over the years, especially when the internet goes out and we can't stream anything (which is rare, but when it does happen... ugh!). So when the player we've had for only a few years failed, we felt fortunate to find this one here at Amazon. Because, would you believe, it's pretty much impossible to walk into a home electronics store and purchase a DVD player? Most places simply don't carry them anymore. We've had this player for only a few months, but it's been great, right from the start. Setting it up was a cinch, and it comes with the both an HDMI cable and an RCA cable, so there's no sweating the hook-up. The player and remote are straightforward and easy-peasy to use, and DVDs play effortlessly (so far, no static build-up issues, which as we all know can be really annoying, when you have to take the disc out and wipe it on your jeans...). All in all, it's a very impressive machine for the price.

DVD player works well but remote batteries not very good so can only operate the set if you hold the remote no more than 50cm away from the set

This is a very good little player. I bought it to replace my old Sony DVD player I hadn`t used for years and didn`t work anymore. It`s easy to use and the playback is excellent. So, as I had time on my hands, I decided to take the Sony to pieces to see how it worked and whether or not I could repair it, and I did!!. Now I have two dvd players !!

I wasn't expecting much for £30 but the unit is perfectly adequate for playing old DVDs. My only issue with it is, you can't set the aspect ratio (16:9 / 4:3) so you need a TV or monitor that allows you to change that. It looks like there is an aspect option in the settings, but I found it had no effect on the output. Audio is sent via HDMI, which is useful. The remote is ok, there's a volume adjust on there (useful when using a monitor) and Pause/Play/Stop can be found in the dark. It's very quiet in operation. Having HDMI and many phono output sockets is useful. I may end up using it with a HDMI input box on my PC though as I literally need a 'stand alone' setup for it right now. Yes the unit and remote feel cheap and plasticky, but for £30 you can't complain. It doesn't look cheap either. I hope it lasts long enough to play my original Equalizer series :)

Sorry to say that it didn't meet the requirement as I was expecting a MP4 player rather a DVD player. Even in the menu, that was not clear. The seller as well not clearly told what this product is and set that it is been imported from US.

Purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend because she needed an upgrade from her noisy old player. This DVD player works great and it perfect for times when the internet goes out and we don't have wifi. It is small and light weight so it doesn't take upich space in the entertainment center. It hooks up hassle free to the audio visiual ports on our TV and the remote works great. Sometimes when a movie is not available on streaming, we can just pop in the DVD player and still enjoy the movie we wanted. It works off of our power station so it is handy when the power goes out.

This player is great. Easy hook up, all I did is hook up the HDMI cables. It came with both RC cable and HDMI. Also it plays DVD's CD's, MP3's andthumb drives. Excellent product with an excellent price. Definitely recommend it.

A great little DVD player at a very low price. Works easily right out of the box. Simple setup, great quality!
