Only problem was with shipping
It should be stated it everything does not come all together. You dont find that out until you get shipping details or when one piece of the order arrives with out the rest of it. Can be a headache. But the product itself is reliable.

Kind of limited for small greenhouse house use.
We got two to switch between night winters or day heat. With the exhaust fan. So far a fan uses up to much energy so yawing an alternative solar source for fans. I believe my two generators would be best for short term camping or emergency home use. But I can tolerate walking them back to my house to recharge, when ther is a lack of sun shine.

Very good product
I bought it for my parents in Cuba and this is being very helpful. They are able to use it even for the fridge.

Incredible build quality & packaging
This is my preliminary review of the C1000 solar generator and 400 Watt solar panel. The first thing that caught my attention about them when they arrived is that Anker has some of the best packaging engineers in the industry. The battery unit and solar panel were both extremely well packaged and protected. After unboxing both units, I was very happy with the build quality. Everything was solidly built. I am a former quality manager from the medical device industry so I tend to be very picky about the form, fit and function of everything I buy. Anker uses premium materials and maintains very tight tolerances on their assemblies. I will update this review after I have had a chance to charge the unit with the solar panels.

DO NOT PURCHASE with 400W solar panel!
The Anker PS400 solar panel IS NOT FULLY COMPATIBLE with the Anker SOLIX C1000 power station! YOU CANNOT OPERATE THE SOLAR PANEL AT TEMPERATURES UNDER 41 degrees F. However you cannot find this information anywhere in the manual. The problem is a technical spec called VOC (open circuit voltage). The power station is designed to take a maximum VOC of 60V. The rated VOC of the solar panel is 56.7 VOC (at 77 degrees F). When temperatures get colder, VOC increases past 60V. This information was only found by another customer repeatedly contacting customer support. If the Anker SOLIX C1000 has the same over voltage protection as their much larger F3800 unit, it may be equipped with over voltage protection, in which case the unit will simply shut down and not charge when connected to a solar panel that is producing voltage over 60V. If such protection is not place, using the solar panel at temperatures under 41 degrees F could damage the power station. This information found at a blog called windinmyface. Customer service's solution was to never operate the solar panel in temperatures under 41 degrees. FYI, there are lot of portable solar panels out there with lower VOC from a variety of brands that will operate safely with the Anker C1000. I do not like that Anker is hiding this information. I also think it is particularly LOW and DIRTY that every other purchase option on this page has a 30 day return policy EXCEPT the option to purchase the C1000 with the PS400 solar panel. UPDATE: In response to this review Anker offered that I could pay for return shipping, or they would give a $20 refund if I wanted to keep it. Amazon customer service ended up being much more helpful. As far as the power station goes, it seems to operate well. Was able to power a 7 cubit foot chest freezer for nearly 24 hours in July in an uninsulated garage. I do not like that the power station is automatically set to fast charge, which will degrade the battery more quickly if used all the time. The only way to change it to safer, slow charge speed is to download the app, which seems mostly designed to collect and sell your personal information. I did not like their privacy policy. I also wasn't impressed with only getting a max of 230-260 watts coming off the 400 watt panel in full midday sun, angled correctly towards the sun. There was a bit of smoke haze in the air, which I'm sure reduced output some, but I would have still expected to see a bit higher of numbers since it was not all that hazey.

Anker generator
I only received the solar panel. I did not receive the generator so I am unable to rate. Thanks
