Had beauriful wood flooring installed in my home office, it was a good quality flooring but the installer told me to get a protector mat for the roller chair as flooring could crack under the rollers. So went to my local office supply fir one and was shocked at how much their prices went up since i purchased one a few years ago for a plastic mat for carpeting. So i googled and thought id try this one. It comes rolled up, but i rolled the edges up the opposite way of the roll and it layed flat quicky and easily. When i went to throw the box away i then noticed there were different instructions to unroll it. I highly recommend it, this is written about a year after i had gotten this and its lasting well, its good quality. And know if you buy this either look in the box well for the directions or roll edges the opposite way, either way it falls and stys flat rather quickly, you wont have to worry about the pkastic getting all mounded up or anything.

Ir really good for an office chair not to leave marks on hardwood floor. Be aware that water does go through so no good for a dog playpen

The mat does a good job protecting the laminate flooring but has a tendency to lift slightly in spots creating a ripple which has to be pressed down flat. It may improve over time but has been a recurring issue for the first month since installation.

Perfect for my vinyl wood floor. Great quality. Flattened out in about a day with books on the edges. Nice rounded corners. Seems very strong and does not move. It comes with some clear double-sided stickers if you want them. But I didn't use them or need them. It's not shiny or foggy so it appears there is nothing under the chair and you can see the floor. Chairs glide easily and even more quietly. If my chair slips off the edge it rolls right back on with no bunching/curling of the mat. I bought another one for my wife's chair.

I have purchased 3 plastic floor mats previous to this one and a tempered glass one as well. This is by far the best of all!!!! All previous plastic ones moved around and "scrunched up" when my chair moved on it. The glass tempered mat was really nice but really expensive and could not be put underneath or near any table legs for fear of breaking. It also kept cracking when I stepped on it. For over $200 bucks I thought the glass might be the way to go but it was NOT so I therefore returned. Make sure to keep your packaging if you buy one of those...they will require it be returned. Then I was lucky enough to find this one. This barely moves at all. I do not have to adjust it on an hourly basis like all of the other ones I have purchased. It is simply THICKER than other brands so while you do have to unroll it, put some weights on it to let it warm up is simply amazing. FINALLY I HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT FLOOR MAT for my office! Of note..this is being used on a level surface LVT flooring. I, much like you, probably don't know what to buy on Amazon as you never know what you will get. I highly recommend this one.

I needed a new chair mat for my office which has hardwood flooring. I ordered this mat as it had decent reviews and matched the size I needed. This mat comes rolled up in a box. It is relatively soft so it can be rolled up, which I assume is so it can be easily shipped. This is different than the hard mat I was replacing. The mat had some off-gassing when I first opened it and rolled it out on the floor. Nothing too bad and it went away relatively quickly. The big problem with this mat that I discovered soon after I started using it is that it rolls under the chair wheels. As mentioned, the mat is soft so it can be rolled up. Well, that doesn't work so well rolling a chair with a person on it over a hardwood floor. I'm about 190lbs and I have a good office chair with good castor wheels on it. The mat just rolls up when I move around and is quite annoying. I have get up, move the chair off of the mat, straighten the mat and then roll the chair back into the spot I want to sit and then site down. Again, annoying and not what I want in a chair mat. I will look for one of the hard vinyl mats again which means probably needing to go pick one up in an office supply store - but it will be worth it not to have this rolling issue every time I move in my chair.

This product is advertised as having a "Transparent surface, anti-slide coating on the underside which is designed to keep them firmly in place while in use. " Do not believe it! This mat moves all over the place. In an hour of work at my desk the mat will turn 45 degrees and move sideways 6 inches. I have to reposition the mat nearly every hour. And yes, I have the shinny side down and the rough side up as instructed. I am throwing this one away.

Unroll and put a few books on it for a day and it will lay perfectly flat on your floor. I feel my hardwood floor is safe now that this is protecting it from my rolling chair.

Arrived quickly, does the job time will tell

Provides a good surface to wheel your office chair about on. Took a while to settle flat, but is now no longer a trip hazard, and is protecting the floor.
