Do these bags have strings attached so you can pull them out of the mug without using a spoon?

No, however I just leave the tea bag in the glass, dont stew like other brands, and even if I've left and go cold still drinkable! I've been drinking these for couple of years and other than tea leaves (which are too much hassle at home/work) are the best flavour

Are chemicals used in the decaffeination process?

The tea is moistened with water or steam and then come into contact with Ethel acetate which is a chemical found naturally in green tea.

is this any good for detoxing and weight loss?

Green tea is supposedly good for detoxing while I have the decaf ( same with coffee and cola ) for medical reasons , in my case , serious heart issues , caffeine being the " pick me up "that could do for me . Please note that the decaf is not easily available.
