Perfect for my air pump
Bought this to use with my tire pump inflator for my car - it's great to use and works well. It does run a little hot, but doesn't feel unsafe. The connection holds tight throughout repeated uses. Very satisfied with it.

Needed power for a sustained 10amps, so I overspec’ed for reliability
I’m no expert in electricity. I know my way around many things, and would be the first to admit I’m probably quite a danger to myself. I’ve wired up solar panels and built my own LiFePO4 solar batteries from parts. I have far more experience in the digital/DC side of things, and as a result tend to be hyper-cautious when dealing with anything AC. Case in point: running with an understanding that heat is bad for electronics, I had a DC device I needed to power through a 12V cigarette adaptor that needed a sustained 10amps, but from the wall (AC). So, I needed an AC to 12V DC/cigarette adaptor. At first I only had an adaptor capable of supplying 6amps, which worked for short stretches but also got quite hot (remember: heat is generally bad for electronics). So, I went on a hunt for something that could supply in excess of 10amps as baseline, so ideally I’d not run it at full capacity, it would run cooler, and therefore last longer. Some searches on Amazon brought me to this item, seemingly generic but oddly advertised. The tagline on the packaging was “Get powered. Get inspired.“, which reminded me a lot of the classic ASUS computer motherboard “Rock Solid, Heart Touching”. Well, I didn’t buy it for how well they could awkwardly self-promote. I’ve been using it daily since I bought it, and it performs without issue. Never gets “too warm” (never really gets warm enough for me to fret over: it supplies power, which generates some warmth, but not to a state that causes me worry), never makes noise causing me concern over its operation. In my book, it definitely fits the bill. And should I ever need something a bit hungrier for power, I have something already on hand that can handle the task.

Easy to use
I bought this product because I have a faulty tire that does not want to hold air even though it was patched. I have to inflate my tire every day. The main reason that I bought this product is because the power outlet in my car is broken and I needed a converter for my air pump. This product supports air pumps, not like other cheap ones online. Overall, great product and does the job. My only concern with it is that the power cables are too short. You need to be right next to a power outlet to use it.

Great units and customer support!
See updates: Original review: Own two of these in the 15amp version. Their main usage is for using DC powered portable air compressors in the garage on AC outlet. Both compressors draw up to 15amps @12v. This power supply has no issue handling the load. Compressors overheat far quicker than the power supplies which uses a fan when it warms up too much. Fan is audible, but certaining not annoying in a garage environment. Cord length is acceptable. Recommended. Aug 2025 update: The newer one I purchased in 2024, as a backup, appears to not handle the same loads - I assumed it would and was wrong. I had only used it for a lighter load and figured it was the same quality as the older 2020 model. When using an 12v/15a air compressor, it would just stop and start over and over, unable to inflate a tire. Too much load for the inverter. Guess we'll see what kind of warranty process I have to deal with. The product claims to have an 18 month warranty. Dropping to three stars. Sep 2025: After exchanging several e-mails and some testing on my part, Roypow customer support agreed to send out a replacement, which I surprisingly received via overnight shipping. The replacement works just as expected, no issues. Very happy with the product and their customer service! Five stars again!

This is Exactly what I wanted!
I bought this because it had More in the proverbial “Plus Column” of things I look for, in quality, longevity, happy customers, etc. I look for these attributes that I consider a positive and eventually, when I’m Tired of research, I will choose the one that got the most positive points, to me. I needed a charger to do Real tests on products, in my home yet, that are intended for a vehicle and this thing works Great! I received an email from the RoyPow, the makers of this power supply/110v to 12v adapter, the day it was being delivered, just to Thank me. I appreciate little things as that. If I have a problem (which I’m definitely Not right now) in the future, I feel comfortable in the service I’d receive; very nice. Its 10amp output is plenty, for my 12v needs. It’s also equipped with a quiet fan inside, to help keep it Cool when it’s working hard. I’m very happy with it, because its made things Much easier to accomplish. I would definitely refer this product. It’s also made it possible to utilize Really great devices that are made for a vehicle, right inside the house. I hope this helps you all!

Working Ok now have 2
I've been using it for a month before reviewing so I could better judge how well it works. It has never got hot or even warm with the little handheld radio that I use it with. I did get an initial report of a noisy signal on using the radio to transmit, but no complaints since and that could have been due to the adapter used on the radio. What I do see though is the radio's LCD display dims out when I'm transmitting. That doesn't happen when using a battery. I can't test it but assume that is due to a drop in power (a voltage or amperage drop). If so, this converter is not doing the 10A it's rated at because that radio should never draw even 2A. But this is all based on the limited use testing I can do with what I have. If there is a fan inside it's either really quiet or it's never needed to run. Update: I haven't had any more trouble with noise on the radio transmissions. The RoyPow has been working good for months being connected all the time. So I ordered a second one. It's working too.

Works great! Now I can review my dash camera from the comfort of my couch. No phone APP for my dash camera, so I have to delete the recordings off the camera manually.

The original power converter for my cooler overheated and cooked itself. It always had a problem of running hot, and finally died. I replaced it with this one, whose wattage capacity exceeds the original, and it has solved the overheating problem, and runs cool and efficiently. It is equipped with a small fan inside which also assists in cool operation. I'm glad I purchased this, as it has given my cooler a new life.

Have been using it to power my Igloo Thermoelectric Iceless 35qt fridge/cooler. Took it 3-4 times already and each time this adapter was used to keep the cooler powered 2 days non stop. It gets a little hot but the built in fan helps, make sure the adapter is not lying upside down which can cause obstruction to the fan airflow and make it too hot. Noise: Well for my use the cooler's fan made more noise so I really didnt care how loud this thing was as I couldn't hear it over the coolers fan.
