Putting together a computer can involve accidental abuse of components. You slide around the motherboard trying to get it lined up, you press a little too hard in some areas, you exert too much pressure trying to get the CPU cooler on. You screw things in too tight. Stuff happens. Installing this thing, I was a bit rough, but this thing didn't even care. It took the punishment and worked great first try. I wanted to do a q-flash plus on it before first boot because I'm running an i9-14900kf. So it was only barely half assembled when I pushed the q-flash button. I half expected it to not work at all, but it worked first try! Aaaand then after the flash it tried to boot, which was only bad because I hadn't installed the CPU cooler yet, but hey, the bigger take away is that technically it booted first try. So then I assembled everything else, again I was a bit rough in the process. Again it worked first try when it was all finished. Build quality is really good, this is clearly a premium board. It auto detected and set up all my fans and my pump, which was nice. I wasn't sure how the pump thing was going to work. I plugged my AIO pump into the system fan/pump connector, and it just worked first try, no setup required. That's what you get when you pay for a board like this, it actually works first try with no setup. Aesthetically it looks nice in person, but maybe not as nice as the back mount boards, but still nice. The connectors for fans and power and all that run along the bottom which is okay I guess, although it made cable management a little weird. In terms of value for money, this thing does cost a lot of money, so I wouldn't call it a value, but I will say you are getting what you paid for. You're paying for a $300 motherboard, and you're getting a $300 motherboard, it is exactly what you're paying for, it is quality, and you're paying for that quality. It is very nice, and I have no regrets.

Great motherboard! The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS PRO X delivers excellent performance and stability. It supports DDR5 and PCIe 5.0, making it perfect for a high-end gaming PC. The cooling system works really well, and the white design looks amazing. Very satisfied with this purchase.

This is a solid board for the price! I had been looking at this board for about a month, seeing the reviews roll in and becoming rather skeptical. I had no issues getting everything installed, it has all the RGB connection that you could ever wish for. It did the usual 3-4 initial boots during the first boot and windows 11 installed without a hiccup. Same goes for the firmware update. My only hiccup was adding my graphics card which did not display anything, long story short, my card will only work with the power adapter that came with the card. I used the one that came with my PSU, which resulted int he card not being detected. I assume that this is the reason others had issues as well. Very happy with the result.

This is actually the second one i received. The first one, wasn't even the right motherboard, When i was unboxing it i noticed it wasn't the board that was supposed to be in the box, However after ordering a new one and returning the wrong one, this board is amazing, looks great in my build, I love the on board type c for the internal screen. Great price for a gaming board.j Has rgb on the board. Lots of connectivity. Highly recommended.

Great motherboard. There's tons of features on this board. I do with it came with thunderbolt but it support an addon card for that so that makes it super easy. It's a bit on the pricey side but that's because of the features. If you don't need all the functionality it comes with, then look for a cheaper board. It is a heavy board but damn, does it look good. This board has tons of fan connections and three ARGB connections so that's nice for those loading up on fans and RGB components. Love all the NVME m.2 slots as well (x5) and the PCIe 5.0 M.2 and Graphic Card support.

For years used Gigabyte for all my Intel based builds, never had an issue. So went with them for my first AMD build. Returned/Exchanged the first board after the online support engineers said the board was bad. This second board is on it's way to the Gigabyte repair facility, for the second time. The memory will (still) not work in slots A1 B1. And the bios will not update, in fact the bios version on the board is not even listed on the support site for the board. Now have serious doubts about the continued use of Gigabyte for future Intel based builds.

Would have been 5 stars, but doesn’t offer any Linux drivers. They wash their hands and tell you to go talk to the chip manufacturers. Valid suggestion, but that’s what the OEM typically does. Technically, I could buy the components and make my own circuit board, too. So for now I have extra cards in my PC (ethernet, wifi, etc) to compensate for what this board cannot do in Linux. Windows compatibility is okay. Instructions for CPU installation were sub par. The instructions in my box didn’t have these simple words: you must install the CPU and cooler before installing the motherboard into the case. Had to undo and redo a TON of cable management work without that very important advice (you’re welcome).

Thought I would chime in here since GIGABYTE boards seem to have fewer reviews and generally the GIGABYTE brand gets a bad rep. I built my PC with this board, and I am glad I did. I haven't had any issues with overclocking/undervolting or making any system adjustments in BIOS. The board came ready with the (2nd to most) recent BIOS that allowed my 14th gen i9 14900k to work as well, without needing any sort of update. One minor hiccup was with the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers. It's not really on them, kind of just on me - you need Windows 11 to use the Bluetooth and WiFi features, as the drivers are only available for Win11 setup. I can confirm that I tried to install them on Windows 10, and while it seemed to run the install file, it didn't work and ended up aborting the install. Ironically, upgrading to Windows 11 also seemed to improve my performance in games? I used to have a stuttering issue that is much less noticeable now. Either way, not on them, mostly on me. The only other issue is that the BIOS UI is a bit ugly and less intuitive than my experience with ASUS in the past, but it's navigable and once you look things up, not hard to manage. The motherboard is also gorgeous in person, the pictures do not do it justice. I built it in a b/w case, doing white parts on a black interior and white exterior. This looks perfect in my case, having the bare minimum black in its design and being a large white space in my case to help balance the colors. I think that the only other real option (that you can still buy, since ASUS won't restock those Z790s) is the NZXT white mobo. Otherwise, if you really want an all-white board, not one with white highlights, this is your option. The main reason I give this 4 instead of 5 stars is that, while I personally have only had a good experience with it, it's kind of overpriced. There is a very similar model as others have pointed out, and it's like $100 less, the BIGGEST feature being that this motherboard is white. I also wish it had more USB ports but I just use a million devices, so probably not applicable to most users. I'm personally fine with what I paid for it, but it's definitely not the most cost-to-feature effective mobo.

Very good purchase runs my i9 14900k straight out the box no need for bios update has multiple argb headers for the ppl that like their machine lit up. Handy that the board has 5 x m.2 slots for lots of storage all in all a very good purchase

the packaging had no damage but on unboxing the product. I found out the Ram clipping lock and the Gpu lock broken. Did not expect a product like Gigabyte will deliver such poor quality.
