Fish Mate 15000 P-UV Pressurised UV + Bio Pond Filter with Powerclenz

Update September 2023 - The pond pump described below has been running faultlessly 24/7 since I purchased it back in 2017. 5 years none stop….enough said. Our 1250 Litre garden pond has been up and running for several years and each spring we clean it up and tidy the various and numerous aquatic plants. By early summer the cool and clear winter/spring pond water turns green and the five 6 inch goldfish housed in the pond cannot be seen. I have kept tropical fish for many years; more recently breeding Discus and 6 foot 110 gal display aquarium, so I fully understand water filtration and the Nitrogen Cycle. So realistically, my only option for clear pond water was to install a filter. After much research, I bought the "Fishmate 15000 pressurised UV+Bio pond filter with Powerclenz" and powered it with a "AquaECO 3000" pond pump. This pond pump is super efficient and can pump up to 3000 Litres per hour but only consumes 10 Watts. The Ultra Violet lamp housed within the filter is only 13 Watts so the combined power consumption at 23 Watts per hour is very good. I also ordered some 32mm flexible pipe to attach to the pump and filter. Although you can fit 25 mm pipe, I recommend cutting the fittings on the filter and the pump and fit the widest pipe diameter pipe to aid water flow, reduce strain on the pump and allow the return water to the pond to flow and not be like a jet of water. I placed the filter in a hole next to pond approximate 3/4 of the way up the filter and enough to allow easy access for maintenance. The filter and pump were only running for a couple of days and there was already signs of clear water developing. After just 5 days the pong water was completely clear and has remained so for a couple of weeks now. Cleaning the filter couldn't be simpler; just turn the knob on the top of the filter and water pressure inside the filter compresses the sponges and pumps out any dirty water. This may have to be more frequently upon initial set-up. I can highly recommend this filter (and Pump) if it works half as good on your pond as it has on mine, you'll be very happy with your purchase.

Easy to install, provides great results nd has a very good quarentee. Unlike another supplier whose I have had two of, both failing just after a year, both times buying new bulbs but the in line power unit had failed.

This was purchased as a replacement for the same make and model which I have had for many years. So was already familiar with the product and how good it was. It can be installed partly in the ground and is therefore not totally visible. It is not easy to attached the outlet pipe when getting rid of the waste so tend to leave that attached. However it is necessary to leave this pipe in the pond as a small amount of water does drip from it. This is a good product and works well.

The pump is working brilliant. Crystal clear water once more and I can see all the fish !! Delivered on time and the customer service was fabulous. I had some questions and issues and they sorted it straight away. Would Highly recommend company and product.

Best filter system to date. Easy to clean . Within days could see the bottom of the pond liner.

Bought to replace my Hozelock filter which ad been in use for about 7 years. Followed the instructions, and before installing took it apart and reassembled as instructed. I was struck by how inferior the build was compared to the hozelock that it was replacing. Flimsy and looked cheap. Swiched it on and it was impossible to seal the numerous leaks coming from the locking nuts themselves or the hose clips. Tried in vain to resolve this. Even asked a professional plumber to take a look. He did to no avail. I complained to the seller who werent interested in taking any responsibility. Made a comment about the picture and the pump which I bought to run the filter. I asked for my money back. That was "swerved" away. I'm going to claim through the Amazon A-Z scheme because of defective nature of the filter. Stay away frrom these at all costs.

Great filter for keeping the pond clean, water stays clear, no issues at all with how it filters, the cleaning function is however a waste of time, you have to use the supplied screw on cap to stop it leaking, not hard to do but don't buy it just for that function , would recommend you get a bigger size than recommended.

my order 205-9115603-3873133 Fish mate pond filter (15000 PUV)was fitted on the on the 09/06/2020 by an electrician when it was connected the filter kept on tripping the wire, the electrician said to me it is your new filter that is tripping it. he unscrewed the six screws from the top when he took the screws out. the inside was full of water covering all the electrics thats what was making it trip, my uv light was all covered in water and no plastic tube no rubber washers they were all at the bottom of the filter. so i would like you to replace my uv bulb as it is no good now, the electrician put all the electrics into my garage to dry out . so could you please send me a replacement uv bulb thank you.
