Bought this book (and the other Spiderwick books) for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves them! I have only read the first 5, but I am looking forward to reading these. I know some people are bothered by certain images and magical elements, but I embrace that sort of thing. The Spiderwick series is a great gift for a child with a great imagination, especially one who loves to read.

I bought this as a gift for my baby sister, as she has just turned nine recently and I am attempting to foster my own love of reading within her. Together with my mother, she had already set about reading and finishing the entire first series of the Spiderwick Chronicles before I found this one on Amazon. It's excellent for fans of the original series as it takes all of the characters from the original and continues on with their stories as they attempt to save Florida. My sister absolutely adored these and has since read them three or four times over. The boxed set is by far the best way of buying it; the money you save by buying the set rather than the individual books is enough to buy more books.

The books are aimed at a younger audience, but that doesn't keep older people from enjoying them. Good story, good pictures and a fun read.

My 9 and 10 year old love this series. They couldn't be happier with the purchase. They are well bound and in a nice box.

Not as good as the original, but still has my 6 year old on the edge of her seat, excited about the next chapter. Personally love that the characters are REAL - they get angry, they have negative feelings, they struggle with relationships. I think the combination of real-seeming people with fantasy is really great...

Box was in very good condition along with the books, very enjoyable to read as a child and still very enjoyable as of today. Great series for anyone who enjoys fantasy series! Highly recommend in buying this for your child/children!

My 9 year old loved the chronicles so these were a perfect Christmas present to expand her collection. She ploughed through them really quickly and enjoyed them greatly, couldn't seem to put them down. really nice looking books too with good illustrations to help the imagination.

Was purchased as a gift for my grandson and was so much appreciated! The story is one he has been asking for and is now enjoying immensel!
