Didnt even know you could get them that small. Bought this to fit to a plate on the motorcycle so i can fit a gopro... Exellent.

Tough for mean jobs.
With the cast aluminum halves, this adapter is bullet-proof, for extreme jobs where those plastic ones will fail. The only thing I didn't like is the 6mm hardware machine screw and tightener. It was a simple matter to replace it with 1/4-20 with the round, easy to grip tensioning knobs. Even the spring in the middle works for the slightly larger screw, as did the washers. This one is really tough looking 1 inch ball connector.

Shorter is better
Shorter adds stability. Inner surface robs grip the ball better.

Does not tighten even close enough to work.
Literally doesn't tighten around a 1-in ball. That's without the phone case once you attach the phone case it's as if the tightening screw is basically not even engaged. This product does not work do not purchase. If I wasn't over my quota for returns this month I would absolutely send this back but it's only $7 and it's not worth it for me to get black flaged by Amazon.
