So, this is perhaps one of the dullest purchases I've had to make. I mean it's a cable, there's not a lot to be excited about. However, when I started looking at DisplayPort to DisplayPort cables there was a lot of choice and it turns out the devil is in the detail. Reasons to choose this one: - It seems to be well-made and is a good length (I went for the 1.8m one). - It has latches! I ummed and ahhed a bit about whether these were a good idea but I'm glad I chose a cable with them (plenty don't have them). It clicks firmly into place and there is a good positive action on the 'depress' button to unplug the cable. I like the fact that the cable isn't going to move accidently in the socket. - Picture and sound both seem fine. Admittedly I'm not stressing it with much hi-res - I just wanted to plug 2 PCs into one monitor, and one of the connections happens to be DisplayPort. - Lastly, and most importantly, it's VESA certified. I've seen a few horror stories in reviews of people buying non-VESA cables which, if not wired correctly, can provide power back from the monitor to the graphics card and give problems. I even checked that BENFEI was listed on the VESA website as they claim, and yes it was. Lots of manufacturers aren't! So let me save you looking as hard as I did for a boring cable and going to the lengths I did to read up on them - just buy this one, you'll be happy!

Used for a medium res display, so cannot comment on ultra high definition. But works to connect a laptop to a monitor well, no looseness.

I was afraid the 4.5m might not support 4k @ 60Hz, but it works great. I have been using it for a few hours, and I didn't get any glitches or stuttering.
