Chicken Oyster Shell Feeder and Grit Feeder Combo

This is a great solution! I have tried various feeders and clip on grit & oyser shell bowls -- they all get tossed around, empty quickly, or fill with rain/snow and never drain. This is such a cool option, I'm thrilled to not have to change this out so frequently.

Everything arrived exactly as pictured - assembling the base with the main body was easy, and the product feels like sturdy, thick plastic or PVC. It mounted easily to the coop wall - screws were included. My only concern was that some of the grit and oyster shell might leak out the back where it hangs on the screw, but if so it's an insignificant amount. The other thing I would suggest is to add a flat piece on the back of the bottom part of the feeder to sit against the wall and stabilize it from swiveling back and forth on the screw. It doesn't appear to be a big issue, but if you put the screw in too tight into the wall you can't get the cap on and off the top easily for refilling - this means it sits a bit loose and rotates a bit on the screw. It doesn't seem to be a problem - my hens have pecked at it and flicked gravel and oyster shell around with their beaks and it hasn't fallen off the wall or spilled anything. It's just a detail I noticed. Overall I think it's a good design, the graphic on the front with the chicken sitting on the G for Grit and the O for Oyster is super cute. Mine are inside the coop, but the holes in the dish portion the girls eat from is a good idea to drain out any water if they were to be mounted outside where rain or snow might get in.

These are really nice quality. I love the cute design. I easily drilled a second hole above the nail hole and used a thick zip tie to put it on the side of the chicken run. The drainage holes are the bottom are clever. I’m really happy with this purchase.

At first I wasn't sure if this was something I "needed" for our hens. After getting it and using it for the last couple months, I am thrilled I got these! Not only are they super cute, but they are VERY durable (our hens like to peck at them) and they hold a decent amount of grit and oyster shells! Highly recommend if you want to take the estheics of your coop up a notch as well as lessen waste! I love that they attach securely to the inside of our walk in coop and the girls can't knock it down!

Easy to install and wonderful for my chicken coop. Just wish the too was a bit wider so it would be easier to fill. Also wish it had more than just one screw to hang it with, mine has been knocked off a couple of times.
