9. We use it for welding the inside of HDPE hopper bottom containers. We use the 90deg corner shoe. We feel the front handles have no use due to the heat & ergonomics of the tool. Overall very happy with the tool.

not HDPE

Purchased in may of 2019. Had terrible success trying to weld. Saw a post that suspected the rod was pp. I tested my rod and sure enough the SG is less than or equal to .92 confirming this is either LDPE or PP. Do not by this is a scam, passing of inferior materials that are useless in plastic welding.
