I've never needed to purchase anything like this before, but having partially torn the lateral collateral ligament in my left knee (the ligament that stops your knee bending outwards) and experiencing some soreness, I bought this based on the previous reviews here. I must say that it has lived up to the reviews as it has provided support to my injured knee and allowed me to walk around with a lot less discomfort than previously. There are three fully adjustable Velcro straps, which would make this suitable for pretty much anyone with a knee problem. The material is fairly soft and non-abrasive so I've even been forgetting I was even wearing a knee support. I'm very pleased with this and would certainly recommend it if you're unfortunate enough to suffer knee problems. very comfortable, can be easily adjusted for comfort in terms of tightness or compression and during the day, clever Velcro fixings that can't get jammed or filled up with material, do not slip down during working a manual skilled 12 hour shift and wearing for a total of 16 hours each day. clearly made from material that will last in terms of wear for a good period of time, very easy to clean with cold water only (see advice / instructions on packaging), definitely supports the joints well from sprains, swells and general tiredness of work each day. allows the joints and body to breathe well and doesn't encourage sweat and smell too much during a shift. I have the neo-g ankle, knee and elbow supports and highly recommend them. I have tried for some years a number of different materials of supports and differing brands all of a cheaper price and hoped they would stand me in good stead, however they have always worn quickly and not achieved very well the above requirements of supports for me. For a one off price it is very clear that the neo-g supports will fulfil the above requirements and last for a good period of time for me, once again I would highly recommend the neo-g products.

I purchased this to replace the same support which I wore out. I have osteoarthritis in one knee and this device helps by keeping the joint warm under the neoprene. Obviously an aid such as this cannot treat the root cause of the disease, but it certainly does give some physical relief and, I suppose, some psychological benefits. I have given it just three stars, however, because this particular replacement unit has a type of velcro that is far too strong and very annoying. Already, after just a few months, the surface of the support is being damaged by the severe (and I mean severe) ripping action of removing the tabs. This is strange because it was not an issue with my previous item, which was very secure yet easier to take off. This might be due to batch variation, so I would still recommend trying the product.

I tripped and fell on my left knee way back in 2003, the patella was completely smashed and it was wired up etc to make it heal, so it was a fairly nasty accident. Since that fateful day I have suffered bouts of severe pain in the knee. The different types and designs of knee supports I have purchased and used over the years is beyond count. To be honest the only thing I remember of them is that they didn't work ! When my knee started to play up again I found this Neo G MEDICAL GRADE CLOSED KNEE SUPPORT on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I'm really glad I did, it supports the knee exactly as I need and because it's adjustable I can easily perfect the fit I require. It's so good that I leave it off sometimes because I start to think the pain is going but soon start to regret it so back on it goes. It's light and very very comfortable. If I could of given this item 10 stars out of 5 I would of done so. If you are looking for a reasonably priced knee support then please try this one !

Absolutely useless no use to me whatsoever does my knee more harm than good

I have used these knee supports to overcome chronic knee pain that I experienced when using a static exercise bike. I have found that the most important thing is to make sure the centre strap is tight. The upper and lower straps only need to be secured enought to make sure that the support doesn't move. pros: They have solved the problem and I can now cycle without any resulting knee pain. cons: They are itchy and I need to wear them over trousers. If these knee supports had been provided with a non-irritating lining I would have given them five stars as they certainly solved the knee pain issue. Update: I have now used two of these knee straps on a daily basis for approximately 6 months, and they have continued to prevent knee pain. Unfortunately the fabric has become fluffy as a result of undoing the strap over and over again and as a result the strap no longer grips securely. So it looks as though the support will last for around 200 uses. However, it can be fixed. All you need to do is to stick two six inch strips of 1.5mm double sided Velcro, across the fluffy area of the support for each strap, which then provides a fresh surface for the strap to adhere to. Hence for around £2-3 (you can get this double sided Velcro, also called cable wrap on eBay) they are like new again, and should last for ages, simply by replacing the Velcro when it gets tired.

The knee bandage was exactly what I needed. I would certainly recommend it. It is a pity that it took some fifteen days to arrive - Product Company in the U.K., actually made in Turkey and finally posted from N. Jersey USA.

I love this knee brace. I've worn a brace for many years, many many different styles. This one is the absolute best. I've reordered probably 7 or 8 times over the years. The velcro eventually, after a year or so, looses its hooking ability and I order a new one. I wear it with shorts, under dress pants, with anything. It's pretty slim, so it doesn't show a lot of bulk, but it's very strong and just the right amount of soft comfortable support. It's adjustable, so it will work for a wide range of knee sizes. I highly recommend.

My husband has osteoarthritis and has constant pain. Several months ago he tore his meniscus and had surgery. It didn't heal as well as hoped for and more than one doctor told him he would need a knee replacement. He tried every type of knee brace and support he could find in hopes of putting it off. Some worked awhile, some not at all, but none for any amount of time. I saw this knee support Neo G Medical Grade VCS Closed Knee Support after searching and reading reviews and was skeptical as we had not had luck so far. It was called "medical grade" so I figured I would get one more for our ever growing pile of knee braces and supports. First, it came much faster than I expected. Secondly, my husband said it was the most comfortable one he had tried. Thirdly... IT WORKS!! He wore it every day for a few weeks and was amazed at the difference! He found himself walking up steps without pain and enjoys golfs again! (he golfs at least 3 times a week, and no, it did not help his game, but it never claimed it would). Some days he doesn't wear it now, but at the first hint of pain puts it back on and says he feels he will not need the knee surgery any time soon now. The way it can be adjusted is important because some days you just need a bit more support than others and if it is not made correctly it will not be comfortable no matter what you do. His knee seldom swells up now and before he had to get fluid drained from the painful swelling. Was I paid to say these things? No. Am I trying to be nice for a friend or anything? No. I am simply a loving wife that is excited to see my husband of 33 years feeling better! I highly recommend it! It amazes me to see the difference this knee support has made in his life!

PROS: After trying numerous braces over the past 1 1/2 years, this is just about my favorite. I had surgery to repair a torn meniscus & also have a tear in the other knee. This is the first support I've used that has actually had the unexpected result of bringing down swelling & pain. I don't know why....I had tried other neoprene supports before w/o this kind of success. Not sure what makes this one so special but I can't argue with the results & my knees actually feel pretty good since using these. (I wear one for each knee.) They are also comfortable & don't slip with the proper adjustment. They don't inhibit movement like some others I've tried yet offer good support. CON: The only reason why I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the Velcro. At first I liked it as it is thin & not bulky under clothes. But after only 2 months of use, it does not lay flat anymore & curls back at the edges. Each piece of Velcro does this & it is not like those pieces have much lint, etc., stuck on them. Very annoying! I am going to have to replace all 6 pieces of Velcro. If it wasn't for that, these would be really great! Added note: Three days after submitting my review, the Velcro is no longer sticking to the neoprene. The Velcro has curled back more & pops open every time I move. I wouldn't mind ordering another set of these supports but not until the manufacturer fixes the Velcro problem.
