Bought one 10 years ago. Worked well, brush went & fried armature in a nanosecond. Bought another.
I got 10 years of moderate use out of the first one until I burned out the armature. I tried another well known yellow brand but the side handle wouldn't stay on, it just didn't hammer well and drilling in concrete was SLOW. So, I returned the yellow brand and bought another Makita and I'm happy. Think I'll buy a set of brushes and replace them after 5 years of use.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, IT IS GARBAGE.-
Makita is a very traditional brand that makes high quality tools, but this one is refurbished, it works with a strange noise that indicates it will have a very short life so I returned it the exact same day I tested it. Buy a new one at Home Depot - full guaranty - for a few more dollars.-
