Perfect. Followed instructions. Put masking take over wood floor. Used pilot hole. Cut perfect round circle for dryer vent tubing to go thru. Looks like top notch job.

As the photos show, it did a perfect job cutting a 6 1/2" hole in my new cielling of 1" thick tongue & groove pine boards for new low-profile/flat LED recessed light fixtures.I cannot say anything meaningful about longevity of the hole saw, like many here in the reviews, I just have this small project of the cielling with 5 lights to do. After that, it's going to get put away for future need thar may never come. Or get lent out to a relative someday.However, 1" thick pine is a tougher challenge than the drywall the majority of people will likely use it on, and it did the job well.And checking around, the least expensive alternative in a local retail big-box home improvement store was $7 more. And it was the flat carbide "bumps" type that's better on drywall or tile, and difficult to use on wood.And it's no different as it is made in China too.My only significant advice is that big & wide hole saws, no matter the brand, put a huge amount of torque on the drill. And if they catch, stick, or kick in what you're cutting, they can twist the drill very SUDDENLY and very HARD.This can knock you off a ladder. Or posibly twist the drill so the battery box slugs you right in the jaw, as hard as a decent boxer's punch.If you haven't used one before, it's really worth 10 minutes of time to practice on a piece of scrap board similar to what you plan on cutting the hole into.It's important to get a feel for how the saw behaves on the drill's "Fast - Drill" and "Slow Hi-Torque" settings behave. Plus, it's good to have an understanding of how important it is to keep the saw level and square to the surface you're cutting. Because angling it unintentionally is what will make the teeth on one side dig in, stop the drill, rip it out of your hand, and make it slug you in the face.And, if your drill has a side handle for an extra 90° hold, use it.

bought for install of a shed vent fan. Hole saw worked as needed. Made a smooth cut without jam. I wish I could say the same for vent. It fit bud does not work properly. Hole saw will come in handy for other projects..

Purchased to cut holes in sheet rock for mounting 8” recessed lights. Works well but of course with such a large hole saw you must keep tight control. Cuts as it should. Easier than cutting with a razor knife and makes a very clean hole.

If I had to find a fault the hole saw came off the the center drill bit a couple times but I just didn’t have it tight enough I think.

Exactly what I wanted to make a perfect 6" hole for my project and did not have to spend a fortune at the box stores.

I needed to drill a hole to pass a piece of 3” schedule 40 pvc through a wall to act as a sleeve for mini split lines.I used 12” long drill bit to get my pilot hole lined up where I wanted to pierce the siding at the angle I needed to on the interior side.The exterior wall has the standard exterior 5/8” OSB sheathing, wrap, then fiber cement siding and the interior wall I have 1/2” OSB with fiberglass insulation in between (this is my garage).After the pilot hole was verified to be good for my needs, I used this hole saw to drill on the interior side first and once through the 1/2” OSB, I moved to the outside to do the fiber cement and exterior sheathing. I did the exterior second because I knew the fiber cement was going to impact the blade probably rendering it pretty useless for any future needs.Fiber cement is rough on blades even designed for cutting fiber cement so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and found this thing for a one and done job.Maybe the saw will be able to cut more holes but the shank is pretty well rounded over from the drill’s forces from the chuck.I’d say 3.5 stars recognizing the cost-effectiveness-durability triad.

I used this for cutting 3” holes in wood to install soffit vents. The hole saw had a fast cut and worked very well for me. The arbour also fits hole saw bits I currently own, which was a bonus.
