Easy to use
Honestly I came across this product on YouTube when looking at other fire starters and was impressed with how easy the person was able to light it. When I finally got it I wanted to see for myself how easy it was to light. I used one of those survival bracelets that are made of 550 cord, have a compass, and have a striker and flint in the buckle. I am by far not an expert in using this material. All you have to do is cut a small piece off about a half inch wide or smaller if you choose, then rip it open a little so that there are fibers showing. All it takes is a small spark from a bracelet that I used, you could probably get away with using a spark from an old lighter that doesnโt have any fluid left. I havenโt tried that but I believe that would work. It doesnโt really matter if you leave the cardboard casing on or not. I prefer it cause it keeps it a little more centralized and burn a little bit better. Or it will help out a bit if it catches and has a weak flame, the cardboard will help ignite it a bit better. Depending on how big or small of a piece you cut it has an impressive burn time. I have started a handful of fires in my fire pit with this product. For all of the prep guys out there I would recommend this product, its tubular design would make it easy to store in your pack. Itโs also really sturdy and solid so you donโt have to worry about crushing it. Unfortunately at the time of this review, it is no longer available. I hope that changes because I would like to get more.

Very effective, easy to light, good longevity.
Fantastic stuff. This compact package will light plenty of fires, it only takes a bit to do so. It cuts relatively easy and clean, the fine fibers fluff easily, and it lights with just a small spark. Aside from the material (cotton?) burning towards the end, the only odor is that of a bit of wax. Of the more "natural" types of fire starters, the Fast Fire Stick is my favorite of all including plugs, disks, whatever. You likely won't regret purchasing this product for camping, survival, etc.

Good fire starter
Bought these for camping and they worked rather well and had good burn time. Although they are a little tough to cut thru so be careful but over all. . . I would buy them again.

Awesome
Works as it should. I cut a piece off that was about two quarters wide, it burned for 5.5 mins. Impressive to say the least. Itโs coated in wax throughout which makes it a great go to for many kits.

Well, if you actually use it right...
On my first attempts, this product was atrocious. Wouldnโt take a spark, could barely burn after torching it with my butane lighter. Would have been 1/5 had the increasing rarity of Army trioxane not forced me to seek alternatives. And helped me actually put two and two together and ACTUALLY REDUCE TINDER like a human being. Since that discovery, itโs been a great product. It takes a spark within ten strikes of a ferro rod (for anyone) once its fully reduced and nested. It burns for surprisingly long for how hot it ends up, and makes fire building a breeze. After fatwood (for sustainability reasons) Fatrope is the tinder I recommend when asked.

Great fire starter will take a spark or flame in nearly any conditions and gives you a long enough burn time.

Works
I bought these for bug out bags but of course I must test them first. They work extremely well to start a fire. Wow.

Great survival item!
Cut off a slice and spark it up with a ferro rod or lighter, it burns easily and lasts long, not much is needed. Canadian made item and priced fairly, will order again!
