In elite athletics, power is often lost in the "gaps" between the upper and lower body. When the arms move independently of the torso, it creates a "mechanical disconnect" that places massive amounts of stress on the elbow and shoulder joints. The TAP Connection Ball is a specialized training tool designed to bridge these gaps by providing a physical boundary that forces the body to move as a high-velocity, synchronized unit. By placing a physical object in the path of a movement "leak," we force the brain and nervous system to find a more efficient, safer, and more powerful motor path without the need for constant verbal over-coaching. The 3-Step Process: 1. Isolate the Disconnect: Identify where the athlete is "leaking" power (e.g., the arm flying open during a pitch or casting during a swing). 2. Apply the Constraint: Position the ball to block the inefficient movement, forcing the athlete to maintain a compact, connected posture to keep the ball in place. 3. Transfer to Performance: Perform high-speed repetitions to "lock in" the feeling of a connected core, leading to increased exit velocity and reduced joint strain. Ideal For: · The Hitter: Eliminate "casting" and maintain a short, compact path to the ball for better barrel control. · The Pitcher: Address postural disconnects to prevent the arm from "dragging," protecting the medial elbow (UCL) from high-torque stress. · The Catcher: Refine receiving and framing techniques by maintaining a quiet, stable chest for faster, more efficient transfers. · The Athlete: Durable enough for professional dugouts, yet intuitive enough for youth players (Ages 8+) building foundational movement patterns. Why Coaches Trust Oates Specialties Professional coaching requires equipment that can withstand the rigors of a high-volume training center. Constructed from heavy-duty, textured PVC, this inflatable tool is designed for daily industrial use. We prioritize the science of movement efficiency and long-term orthopedic health over "quick fix" gimmicks. Review: Got the job done - Helpful and good quality Review: Worked great for my pt - I had knee surgery and needed a ball to put behind my back against the wall to do squats to strengthen my leg. This ball is perfect for that exercise.

Perfect for baseball pitchers
This is the perfect size for your aons to train their arm to stay at 90° put the ball between the forearm and upper arm and go through the pitching motion. During growth spurts this is esp effective since the elbow can often start leading the way (def don’t want that!) love this quality and size!
