I like capsules and prescribed for me by a doctor years ago.

I ordered grapeseed extract because grapeseed oil is reportedly above to improve insulin resistance if you are pre-diabetic and is supposedly able to reduce inflammation. I am especially hoping to find ways to prevent my joints from being damaged by inflammation as I age and am hoping these capsules are helping. If you are taking blood thinners, then be aware that grapeseed extract has anti-platelet effects that can compound the blood thinning effect, so consult with your health care provider before taking these. The capsules are easy to swallow.

A good high quality extract.... 70% polyphenols. That's right, 70%... I had to do the math myself. I would hope to find that percentage amount on the label, but instead I find some mathematical goobly gook, that forces one to stop and think and have to do reverse math to decode and verify the dang thing. I've seen other brands do this just recently, and to me it's a big turn off, trying to calculate out to the equivalent amount of non extract material.... I see how it could seem like a good idea, but no... I think people can discern what's better, for example, a 20:1 extract, or a 10:1 extract.... well, 20 to 1 is better... the last thing I want to do is multiply up, and be compare, 20,000 to 10,000, for example.... I much prefer the total milligrams, and the percentage of actives, such as the 70%, in this case. The supplement facts label information still gives the important information, it's just in a manner not typically seen. The bottom line though is that this grape seed 20:1 extract, at 890 mg of polyphenols, is a nice good amount, compared to other formulas I've seen on the market, many containing far less mg's per serving or having a lessor extract. This is a 3 capsule per serving formula, so all the numbers on the facts panel would be divided by 3, to determine what's in one capsule. These are very small capsules, easy to swallow. This is a high quality extract product, made in the USA, and it's top notch.

It's hard to gauge the effects of this type of supplement (aimed at long-term health / improvement), but the useful bits I can contribute here in this review are: (1) my 60-day supply bottle arrived in 12/23 with an EXP/BB date of 01/2026 - a huge 25-month lifespan; (2) the dosage on this bottle is 3 capsules per day. When I managed a supplement store, years ago, size and quantity of tabs and caps often was a concern for many of my customers. I can assure you, these are small capsules. Very easy to swallow; (3) based on my industry knowledge [the location this product is manufactured, retailers who sell it, my awareness of multiple brands/sub-companies used by the same company (often the very same product with different labels and price points to target different shopping demographics), down to the fonts and label styles they like to use...] I'm 99% certain I know exactly who manufactures/bottles this product, and happily it's a reputable company I've had success with personally (and through my regular customers) over the years.
