Can I play and mix tracks directly from my laptops, and use them as a source?

Yes using Rekordbox or Serati, but this unit would be overkill if that is your main intention. The benefit of the XDJ series is to detach from reliance of laptop. It’s a true standalone which means you only need a jump drive to play. There are other solid pioneer controllers for less money that are primarily designed for connecting your laptop.

Can you use tidal software with this unit?

No, there is no wifi card, so no streaming of any kind. Even software updates happen through downloads on a pc to a USB drive

can you downloads songs on rx3

Yes! There are 2 USB ports! 1 for your tracks and the other for recording what you are playing on the deck! So there is a record feature! But you are not able to download a song into the deck!
