I’m fortunate in that my asthma is generally under control using my preventer spray. Even so, every so often I get a flare-up and need to use my nebuliser. Then last time I used it I realised it had been quite a while since I replaced any tubing — which should be done regularly — but what about the rest? The best advice, it seems, is that these should all be regarded as consumables to avoid contamination and decay, something I was reminded of when I came across this kit so I ordered it at once. It came blindingly fast, something worth knowing if you’re having a flare-up and can’t fund your mask. Okay, that’s probably just me. But it’s surprisingly easy to lose bits of your kit (or just me again?) or, if you’re just an occasional user, discover when you come to use it one of the tubes is bent almost flat. (Yep, me again.) So being able to rely on speedy delivery is important. The kit itself seems to be of excellent quality. It comes with both an adult and a child’s mask and I found the adult one extremely comfortable as it’s slightly softer than the one I have. (Or had. It must have gone to live in the Land of Lost Socks, I think.) The tubing is of a good length, making it easily read from a nebuliser in a bedside table, say, or a lamp table next to a sofa. It too seems of good quality with particularly robust connectors; easy enough to attach but not likely to burst loose. The nebulising thingie is easier to use than my original one, being slightly larger so quite so fiddly, and comes with a gizmo that allows you to control, to an extent, the flow. Since I really needed a kit like this I was delighted to discover it. But even if you’re not as careless as me with your kit if it’s had more than a few months use you really should replace it. Apart from anything else, it was only when I came to replace my old tubing with this that I found out how damaged it had become — conformation that it was over-due replacement. A good-quality kit like this should be on every nebuliser users ‘Remind me to buy’ list. You certainly won’t regret getting one, but may regret it if you don’t. Take this as a hint to buy o E for yourself. I’m certainly very glad to have mine.

I use my nebuliser twice a day and it had been quite some time since I replaced the mask, chamber and tube. I hadn’t thought of trying a different brand from the actual machine before but now that I have, I prefer it. The chamber is easy to fill, and the mask is a really good fit. This is the first time I have has flow control and I find it to be a really good addition. I use saline most of the time unless I have an infection then I also have antibiotics to inhale as I have bronchiectasis. Really happy with the quality and performance.
