Wheels don’t spin/roll as freely as they should. Doesn’t appear to be of the same Tumi quality as other Tumi suitcases that I’ve bought

This suitcase is absolutely fantastic, combining the structure of a hard shell suitcase with a very nice looking blue nylon/fabric layer over the top. Attention to detail in the craftsmanship is exhibited throughout the entire suitcase and I much prefer the interior layout and design of this compared to my Travelpro Crew Classic suitcase. It’s also the smoothest gliding suitcase I’ve yet used, just barely edging out the smaller SomaGo wheels which surprisingly have been the best up until now. The exterior really looks sharp in the Navy color with black zippers and pulls and I appreciate the plastic bumpers at each corner which keeps the fabric looking clean. The telescoping handle is also extremely solid with next to no play in it and again, looks great in black rather than the typical silver. The interior is a fairly standard layout with a deeper compartment and tie down straps for the main space and a smaller zippered compartment in the lid I generally use for my toiletry and electronics cases along with packing cubes containing under layers. All of the materials and fabrics used, both inside and out really look and feel nice and warrant the higher asking price. It doesn’t look flashy but it does look quality, which is what I prefer. The zippers are also excellent although the omission of locking zippers is a bit of a miss with them generally being included on most newer suitcases. They’re still lockable though, you’ll just need to use your own lock. For a hard shell suitcase it’s also very light; my soft-shell Travelpro weighs more and with the Tumi I get much better protection. The expandable function is nice to have, but I usually don’t need or use it although, obviously, everyone’s needs are different. Overall, it’s a fantastic suitcase with excellent materials and craftsmanship, a great layout and the protection of a hard shell with soft-shell looks and I highly recommend it if quality is something important to you.

We have had a few TUMI pieces of luggage, and they have all held up very well. Like those, this wheeled case is lightweight, durable and well made. The zippers are all high quality and zip very well. The luggage itself is a fabric-covered plastic shell (thus the lightweight), and the fabric is a very durable material. The luggage can expand about 2.5" giving you more room. The inside has a fabric zippered area to divide the interior into 2 sections. There is a "U" shaped zippered pocket on the side of the luggage, which I find great for putting things like my iPad in. One downside is that the TSA lock is not integrated, you get a separate TSA lock that you can lock the zippers with. There is a lot of room in this case. Appearance is very elegant. You will not be embarrassed showing up in a 5 star resort with this. This is an expensive piece of luggage. This is high quality and will last you many years. Perfect for those who travel a lot and need their luggage to hold up. In conclusion, everything on this piece of luggage is high quality and works very well. It is expensive, but it will last and look good when you travel. We love our TUMI luggage, and this is a nice addition to our collection! 👍

I rate this suitcase as 4.5 (rounding up to 5) stars due to its basic design with a high-end quality feel. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the exterior is pretty solid considering it’s a soft shell case. It’s pretty much a combination of the durable structure of a hard shell with the appearance of a fabric case. The zippers are also beefed up and, though there’s no built-in lock, I appreciate the included TSA combination lock. The front zippered section provides spacious and convenient access to frequently used items, and the interior is plenty roomy with expanding capability if needed. The wheels and handles (much appreciation for the one on the bottom) are solid and make handling this suitcase pretty effortless. Overall, it’s a minimal design but with maximal functionality.

This bag is a lot lighter than you would think for how large it is. It alone can fit the whole family clothing for mother, father, toddler, and newborn plus diapers and some extra shoes or accessories or at least a four day. It was easy to roll through the airport no issues with the wheels, locking up or having the tilted to turn. The suitcase itself is tall. I do wish to handle came out a little bit further, but it was a perfect height for me at 5 foot seven. It’s worth the monetary value if you use it often or need to pack in large amounts and don’t want to take a lot of bags I would say it’s fairly durable, even as a soft case going to the airport, did not have that many scratches or tears in it only did receive it after a several hour flight and layover.
