Furbo 360° Cat Camera [Core Features, No Ongoing Cost]

BEST PURCHASE FOR MY CATS EVER! I am an anxiety ridden cat mama and have been meaning to get one of these for a while. I didn’t have really high expectations because the product was only 40$ but I knew furbo was a reputable brand so I went with it. Oh how they have exceeded my expectations. It notifies me when my cat is meowing, crying, running across the room, everything! It saves the videos and labels them by the action the cat is doing and it’s almost always spot on. The camera is 360 so it follows the kitty around the room. It had a calming feature I was unaware of until I watched a video of my cat crying at the window while I was gone and the furbo played him a song and it distracted him enough to stop crying altogether. I am so happy with this product. Honestly the subscription price isn’t terrible either for all the work the app is constantly doing for me.

This camera has been an awesome tool for keeping track of my cats when I work long hours or go on weekend getaways. I love the interactive features like being able to talk to them and toss them treats, and the required subscription was reasonably priced for the 2-year option. Nice to have the extra security of the cameras too see if anybody enters my home too. Setup instructions were easy to follow, and it was easy to customize my settings on the app. Video quality is great, and clear even on night mode. The only negative is that one of my boys is too smart for his own good- within a few hours, he figured out that Furbo contained a nice reserve of cat treats, and he took to engaging in battle with it to knock it off the shelf and pry off the lid to self-dispense treats- so if you order this, I'd recommend also ordering heavy duty velcro command strips to tack it down BEFORE you have to worry about how much damage to the electronics your cat can inflict, as the provided adhesive was no match for my determined big boy. (Can verify that Furbo is incredibly durable, and even after having taken a couple dozen 6-foot falls, had no recognizable damage or diminished quality.) (Can also verify that the Furbo has limited usefulness when laying on its side on the floor after losing to my demon cat, hence the velcro.) Great product.

I'm a new cat parent and I tested a couple of my friend's cameras before I decided to purchase the Furbo cat and this product is by far the best one. Here's why the cat one is great: 1. The set up was SO easy. One of the products I tested, it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to get it working. I was so frustrated that I had to call my friend to help me figure it out. The Furbo cat, took less than 2 minutes and it was up and running with no issues. 2. The furbo camera is situated up high on the device which makes placing the device much better. I have it on my countertop and with the other devices, I had to put it at the edge of the countertop which made me nervous that my cat would climb up and try to knock it off. The furbo's camera is higher up so I can place it in the center of my counter and still have great visibility and I have less worry that my cat will come and knock it over. There are also little stickers that you can use to keep it even more secure. 3. The picture quality & the night vision quality were the clearest/best from the ones I've tested 4. Having the camera be able to rotate, was game changing. My cat has certain spots that she likes to be and with the other cameras, I had to experiment with several spots in my house to figure out how I can see her but with the rotating camera, I did not have to be as precise with my placement. Also if you have other people in the house, if they accidentally move the camera slightly, it's not an issue. I had that happen with the cameras I was testing and when I went to check in on my cat, I couldn't see anything anymore because they had moved the device. 5. I really like that it has a date/time stamp on the video 6. At regular price, the Furbo Cat is on par with the other cameras I tested price wise. I purchased it on sale which made it a no-brainer for me. I have a lot of friends that have a Furbo for their dog and they rave about it. Now I understand why. I'm so happy I got the Furbo cat!

I got both a small one and a full size one, for cats. Each has a strength the other doesn’t. The small one zooms in and really follows my pets but holds around 6 treats. The full size one holds around 3/4 cup, costs a lot more, but no zooming. Both have a terrible glitch, imo, that doesn’t toss treats where I direct the camera. The small one is worse at this though. When pointing where I want it to toss a treat then tap the treat-toss-toggle, it turns to face elsewhere, not where I direct it to. But then it keeps turning and tosses the treat at the wall, or the side of the chair or dresser which are right beside the small furbo, landing out of reach of the cat. I have two cats. I set up each of their profile. Endless notifications that my cats needed soothing and the device did a great job. With my eufy I could see the cats weren’t even in the room they were supposedly being soothed in. Frequent notifications that my cats chewing on something, doing something and when I click to watch the recording, it’s the other cat or there’s no cat in the clip. This camera either is defective or the technology intends more than it is can deliver. Another possibility is it is meant to lure people into spending less up front for the subscription only device, which doesn’t work without a subscription. I was willing to pay the higher cost for the device that works without subscription. Either way, it’s absolutely not worth the cost and I’m absolutely returning it. Still wanting to give this a try, I ordered the subscription version, which only works with a subscription, but you have to buy either a three month subscription to get a decent rate, or an annual subscription. If you return the item, you aren’t refunded any unused subscription fees paid. The month to month subscription costs $39.97, roughly the same amount when paying for three months at once. I would love using multiple four letter words in this review to express my displeasure, but that’s not allowed.

The product itself is great, we just had our limitations having a dog that chows down anything so we don't really use the treat and feather on the furbo much. We tried the free subscription and honestly, it was pretty good getting videos recorded of your cat while you're away and interactions that you have with your cat. We had lots of funny interactions with our cat that we saved while we were on the free trial and I do miss that a little bit. It was nice to have a track record to see when your cat was last active, especially if she's hiding on the live camera. The notifications were a bit excessive though, I think you're able to control that but I just didn't bother. The quality of the video isn't like a 4K or anything special, but it's good enough to see everything clearly. The camera has a really wide range it can cover, it's blind spot probably only is like a good 30 degrees behind itself, so you can pretty much see anything in the room. There's no zoom feature, nor can the camera pan up or down so you have to make sure your placement is pretty good. The night vision also helps cause it toggles itself on/off automatically or you can toggle it manually. The treat system seems easy to use, just fill from the top and control from your phone app. We don't use it to throw treats, but we do use it to make a chirping sound to get our cats attention. The microphone feature is great, I've stopped our gobbler dog to not dig into our cats litter box by yelling into it. I honestly don't know how it sounds cause I never tested it but, my pets can hear me so it's ok. I do wish the subscription was free, it wasn't so expensive as I remember it but I'm currently just using it free. Maybe when I feel the need to spy on my cat a little more, I would resub but for the time being, I'm content with just the free account. Don't get me wrong though, it is definitely convenient to be subscribed.

Love it only downside is that it occasionally gets a little stuck and I can’t rotate it from the app until I can get home to nudge it a little. Also frustrating that it’s so expensive and the whole point of paying that price is so avoid paying for a subscription, yet you have to pay for some advanced features still.

Not only do my cats love the feature toy attached. Both my cats and dogs come running when they hear it moving or making the bird noises. But the camera and AI software is great. It’s so cute to read back on all the activities my pets do during the day.

Great product have to have a subscription to use. After 2 months my treat dispenser broke.

Der Furbo macht genau das was er soll. Auch ohne Abo kann man die Funktion der Kamera und des Futterauswurs nutzen, um zu schauen, was die Katze zu Hause treibt und ihr hin und wieder ein paar Leckerlies zu zu schmeißen. Die Katze reagiert neugierig auf das Vogelgezwitscher und wartet vor dem Furbo nur darauf, dass Futter durch die Bude fliegt, was einen heiden Spaß macht 😂 Futter fliegt unterschiedlich weit und manchmal kommt auch etwas mehr raus, als gedacht. Die Kamera ist um 360 Grad drehbar, was super ist, um wirklich den ganzen Raum ab zu decken.

Die Kamera ist der Hammer. Ich benutze sie für meine zwei Kater wenn ich arbeiten bin oder nicht zuhause und es funktioniert einwandfrei. Auch die Nanny-Funktion ist super. Ist den Preis aufjedenfall wert.

While Furbo is very good at spotting humans, it’s rather rubbish at spotting cats. I have a small apartment, the whole thing apart from the bedroom and bathroom can be seen on the screen. Yet the camera only reports my cat “walking” or “sleeping on the sofa” when they are directly in front of it. My cats are rather vocal, they frequently demanded attention, they got mine but Furbo did not pick up on any of it. Same as for destroying the sofa, when they sleep on it I get a report, but when my little interior designer decides to remodel Furbo turns a blind eye. The camera is supposed to follow your pet when it walks by, but this only works 50% of the time. As for the software, I have yet to find the language settings (this might be a me-issue) but for some reason I get a rather crappy mix of French and English. The only truely positive thing I can say is that the nightvision works great.
