I really love the the silky, satiny feel of this serum gliding across my face. I never understood all of the hype around hyaluronic acid serums or boosters because I didnt really see any miraculous results using it. And I have used several different HA products. Until I discovered this one. I indirectly discovered Hylamide by first discovering The Ordinary from several Wayne Goss videos. I usually dont subscribe to YouTube hype easily, but he is quite knowledgeable when it comes to skincare ingredients and uses a bunch of Paula's Choice products. Which I also use and find very effective. I thought about buying the Ordinary's HA serum, which is much cheaper, but the brand recommended this product for 'next gen HA.' Why not? I use this serum after Niod's CAIS serum and I have had glowing results. Pun intended. Seriously though, after a few short days my skin was incredibly soft, smooth, and overall just looks healthy. I noticed a big visual difference after about the 6th day. I am 32 years old, with combination skin and for the past couple of years have really focused on what I like to call 'pre-anti-aging' like preventative anti aging to preserve my skin as long as I can. All of the Deciem products I have bought so far, which is growing by the week (once you start buying, I promise you will be hooked-so many great products!), have really given my skin a much needed boost. Some days this HA serum is all the hydration my skin needs and I forego my moisturizer. So I assume this would work (without a moisturizer) for oilier skin types to provide non greasy hydration. The second major result I noticed is no more dry patches! I use a 1% Retinol (SkinCeuticals) and even though I only use it twice a week, it does leave dry patches of skin around my mouth and eyes. I have drier skin around the edges of my face, but the Retinol makes it worse. Plus, my foundation just settles on top of those dry patches and makes my skin look flaky. Since I started using this, from day one, I have not had one dry patch. It has hydrated my skin without using a heavy cream or moisturizer. The hyaluronic acid in this serum is a super star ingredient that is far superior than other HA serums/boosters I have used. It appears that it penetrates deeper and is able to hydrate better than other serums. I honestly cant say enough about this product, but also Niod, Hylamide, and The Ordinary products. They really are a class above the rest.
