This thing is amazing!! So much fun! Within literally seconds you can make a layered beat any style you want from techno to rock to hip hop. Nothing to download, nothing to cue up. Don’t like where the beat is going, just flick it off then flick it back on, BAMM you got a clean slate to start fresh! I am a hip hop head from the days of way back who always wanted to mess around making beats but I know little about how. This allows me to jump right in, great job guys!! Maybe one day there will be a wireless stylus upgrade, other than that bravo!

I like that it is a simple music instrument that you do not need any directions on how to use it. I also like that it has the bass that was added as another feature with the drums. I just got this item today and so far this is fun to play with! The sounds are bass synths that can be changed from low to high, and the electronic drums tempo can be changed with the turn of the tempo knob. The stylus is ideal, which is attached by a wire to the beat instrument. And the metronome can be used to keep the drums in the same beat. There are also 2 additional functions, which is the patrn and the trnsp. This gives the option of making the song longer and giving it glitch and filter effects too. The instrument box itself is plastic, however, it is still durable. There is the volume scroll knob and the on and off switch on the side of the box, and it also has a headphone output too. There is also an indicator light that shows that the box is on, which is the color red. As for the age range, this can be used for a 7 yr. old kid to a senior citizen that is a musician. It is because of the semi-sharp stylus that I would not recommend for kids under 7 to use for safety wise. I am a musician and I bought this to see if it can be used for music and it definitely can! It is affordable and the sounds are beautiful! I plan to buy more of the Stylophone products in the future.

It's limited but it is a lot of fun to mess around with, cool little beat maker. I like to make beats and play guitar over it, works great for messing around or writing at home.

I thought this was just some cheap toy st first but it looks like a useable instrument for making music. I got it for my autistic brother it was cery easy to assemble. It works well, and the sound quality wasn't great but it is good for the price

I suck with this but being the cost it's still work keeping and toying with. Could be more powerful in better hands I'm sure. Fun regardless.

This is the best. I have a stylophone, but this is so much better. Comes with 4 pre programmed beats. Kinda confusing on how to record bc directions are super basic. However, get what you pay for. Worth it.

Bought this for an adult kid and he LOVED it. So many options of instruments (most synthesized) and drums were great to add to music, create your own or just have fun. Great quality and sound.

I LOVE IT and so does my 11 year old. This inspired me to buy two more stylaphones for better mixing and I also just started making longer loops with my looper pedal and adding in guitar! My daughter, who is pretty musical figured it out right away and is spending lots of time with the drum and bass, then singing at long. This thing is so cool!

It's a great little beatmaker. It's easy to make a beat and then play with it. If you don't want to be programming, but just be creative and accept the limitations. This is for you!

J’adore cette instrument. Musicien professionnel, je l’utilise pour créer des rythmes et une ligne de basse de façon amusante. Pas de mémoire interne et c’est parfait pour ce genre d’instrument lowfi. Les possibilités multiples au cours de l’enregistrement compense l’absence de mémoire interne. Parfait pour s’amuser et jouer sans prise de tête.

I was skeptical about how much enjoyment I could get out of a two-bar beatbox but I spent most of my first evening playing around with it and grinning. It's a simple device that packs a lot of sound-tweaking abilities away through different inputs. It's easy to punch in a drum and bass part, but then you can replay parts of a bar live at different speeds, drop out individual drums with a touch, copy patterns, transpose and bend notes on the fly and apply a great high pass filter. The tiny internal speaker is a bit thin as you'd expect but it's an absolute monster through headphones. I only have two tiny criticisms - it'd be nice if it could run off a power supply like a 9v pedal one, and when you run the output into another device (like the aux on a guitar multi effects) it can be a bit hissy. That said, I'm still on the original batteries. This is one of those devices that'll kickstart inspiration every time you're stuck for ideas. Should be on everyone's shelf!
