Goldfish Madras Original Curry Sauce Concentrate, 405 g

Excellent product Simple to use and excellent flavour

I like to add this to meals, goes well with lots of things. Personally I like it with various types of beans. The taste and smell are amazing.

I worte a review for Hot and Spicy version, so see that. We accepted the parcel after checking contents, but as they were packed on their side and not in a sealed plastic bag, we know they are prone to leaking if not upright. Box had oily residue on it and driver offered to reject it for us, but knowing this stuff can leak if lid moves slightly I asked to open it and found all food safe seals intact. One of the boxes had slightly popped its lid a milimetre without affecting the food safe seal during transit, which was enough to cause oil to start seeping into cardboard. We accepted box. I used to live near a shop that sold thses and unfortunately we cannot buy the Hot and Spicy or the Madrass locally (only the mild). We use it for flavouring cous cous. Need to add 1 teaspoon of Madrass and half of hot and spicy to jug (it will stain jug). Add small amount of butter (if making it for cous cous). Add boiling water fom kettle, stir untill mixture is dissolved. Add liquid to dried cous cous in heat proof plastic tub and mix thoroughly. Butter helps flavour soak into cous cous). Pop lid on tub and wait for cous cous to absorb liquid and then its ready. May clump together, but a fork can release the cous cous (butter helps with this). NIce chinese curry style cous cous. Does contain MSG. Recommend, however best to store upright.

Love this! I just stir fry chicken, onions, pak choi and green peppers. Add a little soy sauce and rice vinegar then in goes this mixed paste to make the best chinese curry ever. No fuss and a hit with all the family.

This curry sauce is nearest to a Chinese takeaway. It's really flavoursome without being too hot. It's so quick to make your own curry with this paste. Value for money and fast delivery.

Whilst this product is described as Madras Sauce it doesn’t taste anything like that from it original which is Netherlands and Belgium.

Lovely stuff. So easy to make. A bit mild for me so I add some reaper powder for some ooomf :-]

Ich suchte schon lange nach einer guten Currypaste als ich per zufall diese hier probierte. Ich hatte schon viele verschiedene aber diese ist meiner meinung nach die Beste! Geschmack ist sehr mild und der curry Geschmack gross! Sie bindet sehr gut ab! Ich verwende diese Paste mit Kokosmilch und verfeinere das ganze mit Honig!
