This is a really cool product! It's not something that I actually needed, I was searching for something in order to add a few dollars to get free shipping LOL. I'm not sure how much I'll use it, but I did use it to make a fire and it worked right off from the box.

When we first started using it, so neat, fun! Buuuut...it died quickly and when we tried charging it...wouldn't charge. At all. Thought it was the charger. Tried a different one. And it has never worked again. Complete waste of money.

I may have received a defective product because the battery life is very short. After using it a couple times in succession, the LEDs go from 4 dots to 1. I had planned on using this to light tinder for a fire when camping or hunting. I don't see how that will be possible with no power source to charge it up after every use.UPDATE -The seller sent a replacement lighter. I waited a month to update the review just to make sure it didn't fail on me. The second lighter has been holding a charge. I have been able to light several candles multiple times on one charge. We will see if the replacement lighter holds up
