This is a heavy-duty, quality water storage barrel. But beware, the seller you choose matters. Pay the extra for Amazon. It will be the barrel pictured and delivered in a box. If you order from Ironclad, it will NOT be the barrel from Augasons and it will be delivered bare with just a shipping label slapped on the side. Thus, the many reviews where one or both of the plugs are missing. That does not happen with the boxed barrel.

These drums (I have two of them) are pretty well built. I bought them to store emergency water in since the City was doing some water main upgrades. Things don't always go as planned so I wanted to be prepared. I also bought a couple of drum dollies so they roll around nicely in the basement even when filled.

A must for preppers. You never know when the power may go out for an extended amount of time. BE READY! I purchased 2 so I can give one to my brother for an early Birthday present.

An excellent choice for safe drinking water and watering my vegetable plants in the greenhouse. It is durable, sturdy, has no plastic smell. It does what I need it to do at a great price.

The barrels are perfect for our needs and arrived on time. After reading many reviews, I expected them to arrive in boxes and with the instructions for disinfecting and explaining that the 2 different bung hole caps had different threads. Unfortunately, mine arrived unboxed, a little beat up from shipping and with no directions. Disinfecting guidance was found online and was simple. The bung hole cap thing I figured out only after I almost damaged the tank threads and then noticed one was fine and one was coarse. An email and multiple phone calls to the seller went unanswered. I’ll likely buy a couple more from the same seller as the price and quality of the barrels is very good. Customer service…not very good in my experience. That’s the reason for 4 stars.

Love your water system setup drums honestly you know I turned around and sat there and I was thinking about it cuz I wanted to turn around and get away from my water companies water and purchase water outside of the company because there was lead Mercury and everything else and the state wasn't being truly honest with everybody so I just came up with the idea of buying 50 gallon drums and put a water filtration system in my house and try to convert it all over to get away from the water company cuz nobody likes Mercury or lead and they're drinking water and it's a cheaper bet to put your own system in

Barrel is very durable- its featured in The Navy Seals Bug in Guide. It is a sealed top with only the two holes for access to fill, clean, so a little cumbersome but thats okay because the sealed top is just more security for the safety of your water.(also it keeps people who want to put bodies in it away)....lol

In very cold weather, the bottom ballooned-out so the thing was like a weebel (toy.... "weebles wabble but they don't fall down")... So I had to stabilize it with wood, etc, as I live high up... cost $430 CAD... no warning given about cold weather use..
