I had a Sigma flash unit for 17 years. It worked but always felt kind of cheap. This one does everything I want and seems to have much better quality than my old Sigma. I bought rechargeable batteries but it works fine on AA alkalines too.

I have had a Canon TTL and Sigma. Like those this will attach easily to the hot shoe. I like the clamp on this one as it is a quick latch down similar to most Canons. This is a little loose (wiggles) on the hot shoe but doesnt fall off. The Sigma I had was a turn dial and always came loose. It broke. The instructions on this are a bit difficult to follow. I’m still trying to figure out how to adjust the flash power and brightness. It might not be adjustable to what I am looking for. Thats ok- I can still make it work. I think for the price point, I made it througb my daughter’s entire senior portrait session and the pics turned out great. Very little ghosting. Duracell batteries have lasted over 200 flashes. The internal defuser and reflector work well. Angling and offsetting the aim point is easy to do. I used it on a frame, rather than directly to the camera hotshoe. I wish it came with an external soft light defuser, my version from my Sigma wont fit. Its one way to soften that flash. I may have to look for a flash box or umbrella for this as it is bright.

Nice flash. some adjustments don't work and customer service is terrible. You have to leave messages which are not returned. For the price I'd expect better. Update: Customer service did get back to me and has provided me with a better means of communication with them.

I like the features better than my previous one. Got this in May 2025, today Nov 2025 it quit working ? Any help in telling me whats wrong, can I get a new one and I will send this back? It worked 3 days ago, so idk what to do. Thanks, Florence Bulthuis

The features are awesome but the flash actually don't work. When I complained first time Neewer replaced it they are very nice and attendance but when I got the second one and it didn't work, I have tried few different batteries brands and saw huge difference .In most of the cases it didn't work at all and in some cases I needed to turn on and off about 10 to 20 times , till suddenly it starts working and even then not everything work.Example the zoom is not changing. They are aware of the situation, so they recommend specific batteries, " Rechargeable Panasonic ", hope we understand that it doesn't make sense. Also the firmware update don't work and the update is for better batteries detection. So actually I own a flash I can not relay on , like not having one. I am still in correspondence with Neewer service, they are very attentive and suggest I use NI MH 1.2V instead of the 1.5V I am using. I will try that and update.

Flash dies quickly and flash quality isn’t that great. Sometimes it does not even go off, even if in focus. I’m a wedding photographer and need something I can rely on for once in a life time moments, and this flash isn’t something I can count on. Would not recommend. You get what you pay for. I will definitely be investing in a better flash.

Fit my r100 perfectly. Automatically flashed on its own. I bought reusable batteries as recommended and waited until fully charged. Worth the buy. The product is a great product and not cheaply made. Very heavy duty. Came with good instructions and nice carry case.

Me gusta mucho la opción de seleccionar entre tres modos para usarlo en el Hot shoe de mi cámara. Solo que al no ser de la misma marca tiene un poco de problema de comunicación de los datos de la cámara (iso yf) al usarlo en modo TTL. Estaría más que perfecto que incluyera el interruptor óptico para usar el flash con softbox.
