Works great and like it was easy to read from afar

Good quality and easy to use (just stick to stove pipe). I like this model because it shows the actual temperature in degrees. It has a strong magnet that holds it in place securely.

I just started using these on my wood stove. I have one on the flue and one on the outside of the stove. They stay in place pretty well with the magnets, but on a curved surface, two separate magnets instead of one would give a more secure fit. Just don't bump them and they will stay put. So far mine are holding up well and seem to give a good indication of the heat. I pay attention and judge how to adjust the damper and air inlet to get a good fire with minimum smoke. They work well for the intended purpose. They are easy to read and look nice on my stove. As far as accuracy goes, I don't have a way to compare them but just intuitively they seem to be pretty good in that aspect.

Works great for its application on my wood burning stove. It allows me to gauge the temp of my fire so I can damp it down and monitor the right burn to minimize creosote production.

Wildly inaccurate. 100 degrees too high. Stove measures 590, gauge read over 700. Also bad design. Silver needle difficult to see, especially at a distance or in dim light, and magnet melted and left mark on stove.

Gauge works well. My son had one and it helps you to keep your wood stove at a good temperature. Very happy with it.

Needed a thermometer for my woodstove. It is soapstone, so was a bit concerned where to attach the magnet. However, stove has decorative metal piece on the side and the magnet holds it very securely. Altho the idea of a little wire handle is nice, it is not fastened securely to the thermometer and has already come loose twice. But not really a problem. Just use a oven mitt if you’re not using the handle as it does get very hot! Best part of all tho’ is being able to see the needle and color zones from across the room. As I’m getting older, my eyes are not as good as they used to be and this is a well-thought out product. It appears to be pretty accurate as as soon as the meter gets to the ‘green zone’ my stove fans will start turning about the same time. Well done
