i need a super wide toe box. will this be the right shoe or are other brands wider? I ordered this shoe in wide

These shoes indeed have a wide toe box. I have wide feet, and the toe box is typically an issue for me as even regular wide shoes are wide all over and my toes seem to get the short end of the stick. These are perfect and are exactly as advertised. I am really impressed.

How thick is the sole?

They seem to be about the same thickness overall as most of the other sneakers of various brands that I have, although the tread doesn't have a deep pattern. Very comfortable.
