Timex Men's Expedition Scout 40mm Watch, Outdoor & Durable

I love this watch. Great watch for the price. Keeps great time. Easy to read and looks great. I wore it 24/7. If your looking for something simple, its this one.. The only down side is the strap not holding up ( broke within 3months) But then again I was very rough with it and literally never took it off.. Im buying another strap for sure. Maybe diffrent brand.

My son is an avid watch collector and he picked this one out for an "everyday wear" kinda watch. He is young and athletic so it needed to be something comfortable, sporty, and casual. First of all, the size is perfect on him, its versatile and can easily be worn with anything. The band is a great color and extremely comfortable.The face is easy to read and has glow lighting when needed. It's water resistant and functions VERY quietly. Overall, its a great watch for a great price. If you are looking for something with versatility, durable for even rugged wear, extremely great functionality, and just a sharp watch...get this one!!

This watch was mostly exactly what I wanted. For one thing, the watch band does not irritate my skin like metal and plastic wrist bands invariably do. It has a conventional face rather than an ugly LED face. It is good looking. I like the green color -- it feels outdoorsy. Two issues are that the date indicator is so small I had to contact Amazon to even find it. And after I found it, I cannot read the tiny numbers anyway. Might be okay for someone with really good eyesight, but doesn't work for me. The second issue isn't with the watch, but with the packaging. The package was crushed when it arrived. Luckily the watch was okay, but I was not happy with the crushable packaging.

The Quality was exactly the standard that timex set for the most affordable, most durable, most useful, most attractive watches in the industry. I've owned this one since 2022. I have to say it's all of the above WITH ONE EXCEPTION: The Indiglo never worked from the moment I took it out of the box. I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was another diluted standard brought on by the corporate enshitification so pominent in the world today. I WAS WRONG! For under 35$, who cares? It's 2025 and I'm buying another one. I put this thing through hell. I work on Industrial Refrigeration and Mechanical Infrastructure. I'm rough on everything I own and my hands and arms are exposed to 130 degree F Condesner relief temps regularly, 170 degree F Asphalt Equipment Pads (on which I stand for hours in the direct sunlight) in 115 degree F Ambient air temps all while keeping track of timing of sequences of operations, using My Timex as my number-one tool for keeping track of that kinda stuff. Diagnosis would not happen without it. Accuracy: Hmm. a little behind the iphone weekly or monthly; loses about 5 minutes a month? maybe less. Either way, when I was trying to set it to the current time the other day, I pulled the crown right out of the watch to try and set the time. I put it back in and committed to purchasing another one. The crown is still in there, the watch still is keeping time (more slowly) and I just can't update the time it has lost. So in a month or so from now, it will be too far behind the actual time to be useful for me. Very well worth the cost! UPDATE: two months after purchasing the new watch, the indiglo stopped working when I needed in my sleep last night. I have contacted timex. I'll update this review once I get a robo-response from them.

Much heavier than my previous Timex Expedition. The light function works well. The hour and minute hands also have GotD highlights. The glow doesn't last more than a few minutes, though. I chose this color face because it is easy to read in dim light.

Just recently bought the Timex expedition scout T49961 field watch and am overly excited about this purchase since it's my first ever Timex watch. Really wanted the basic no extra nonsense or things on the watch most of us don't really need or use daily, other than to tell the time and possibly the date function. I wanted that clean basic field watch look including the 24 hour military time, having the date function on the watch was a bonus plus it's incredibly legible to read from any angle. The movement is a basic standard quartz which doesn't have that loud noticable ticking sound that Timex is well known for. I've heard that Timex possibly looked into the things or sometimes the criticism of the ticking since mine is very quiet maybe including even the materials used in this specific watch. It's versatility is unmatched as far as wearing daily and any occasion to be honest including handling anything thrown it's way. For the beyond very reasonable value for the money and the basic materials used to make this watch I would happily buy again, I did change the original green strap it came with and replaced it with an Altera strap from Amazon, which is a taupe color mix of grey and beige that fits beautifully with the overall aesthetics of my new Timex watch, a Happy satisfied customer and would definitely recommend this watch to anyone.

What can I say, lov this brand! Watch looks good, big face, like I like, can see well. Lights up when you push button. Works great, worth the price. Only one thing that I don't care for is the band, it's not made as well as I have got from them before. So think I will be changing that soon. Nice watch that looks great and works well, very nice to look and see time, not like a digital watch where your shaking your arm to see time!!! So am happy with my purchase. And would buy again.

Timex was at one time, the industry standard for quality timepieces. I have owned multiple Timex watches over the last 40 years. and this new wrist watch is no exception to that rule. Genuine leather band and a sturdy face and watch body. I'm very impressed with the quality of the movement and the clarity of the watch face itself. I thought that perhaps Timex had gone the way of other timepiece makers and I was wrong. I needed a new chronograph style timepiece for casual wear and this watch is superb. Well worth the money I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Muito elegante e confortável, estou satisfeito com a compra. Porém fiquei um pouco surpreso que o relógio foi enviado sem nenhum tipo de proteção como plástico bolha ou espuma, apenas a caixa original embalada pelo saco da Amazon (notem na foto como a caixa chegou amassada). Mas apesar disso está funcionando normalmente e sem qualquer tipo de dano.

Field watch dedikleri saat türünden ve oldukça güzel hoş görünen bir saat.Koleksiyonunuzda bulunması gereken fiyatıyla da uygun bir saat. Ben çok beğendim rengi ve kayışıyla gayet uyumlu. Belki boyut olarak 2-3 mm daha büyük olabilirdi ama yine de gayet iyi ortalama her bilekte güzel görünecek bir saat. 13 gün içinde elime ulaştı.Tavsiye ediyorum.

Ótimo relógio, bom acabamento, pulseira em couro legítimo confortável, coroa firme e a iluminação Indiglo é sensacional, diferente de qualquer outra coisa. Porém o tamanho de 40mm vai ficar um pouco pequeno em pulsos mais grossos, mas nada que impeça o costume com o tempo. A pulseira apresenta marcas facilmente por ser de couro. E realmente o tique dele é um pouco alto, se tiver em um quarto sem barulho e o relógio estiver próximo da para ouvir. Resumindo, vale muito a pena pelo custo-benefício e história da marca.
