Got this for my older boy to slow him down a bit and help prevent bloat. It works perfectly. While it's not as challenging as some of the plastic slow feeders, it works well enough and has taught my boy to take his time eating. Very sturdy and easy to clean/sanitize. The nonslip base is nice but since my dogs eat in their crates, it's not really needed. Great for those who place it on a tile or wood floor, though.

This product is awesome! It’s sturdy and cleans easily. I like the bottom rubber that makes it quiet, even if slipped by the dog across the floor. My German Shepherd Dog/Puppy arrived to us with a habit of digging his face into his bowl and eating as fast a possible, as if he had to compete for food. He would clearhis bowl in less than a minute, and he sometimes made himself sick. He also wanted to do the same with the bowls of other family dogs. This bowl drastically slowed down his eating to give the other dogs a chance to eat without a squabble and for him to eat more healthily. I can’t think of any way to improve it. It looks like it’s still new after more than a month of heavy use. It easily holds his 2.5 cups of dry food and 1/2 cup of bone broth. Highly recommend.

​I am beyond impressed with the Feedoo Slow Eater Bowl. My Beagldor used to practically inhale her meals in about 1.7 minutes, but this bowl has successfully slowed her down to a steady 5.2 minutes. It’s clear she’s much more satisfied and less rushed during mealtime now. ​The build quality is excellent—it’s made of heavy-duty stainless steel, so it doesn't slide around or feel flimsy like plastic alternatives. If you have a dog that gobbles their food, I highly recommend this. It’s well-designed and built to last.

Really heavy duty, good, but finish on feeding bowl side is sub par. Should have had more shiny finish which would not be so easy to stain and look dull. Have to wash immediately after feeding to keep it looking nice.

Other reviewers commented on the bowl not being effective as a slow feeder. My guess is they bought the wrong size and it’s too small. Here’s my experience: My dog easily made the switch to this bowl, and it works well. He gets 1.5 cups of food twice daily as a large breed. I bought the 3-cup bowl and it allows the kibble to go below the raised areas, slowing down his inhalation of food. If I fed him once daily, this size would not work well; something to consider when ordering. It washes in the dishwasher without issue, and seems pretty sturdy. I have no complaints with it.

We had a speed eating doggy and this has really helped her pace herself more slowly. It’s very well made and and is heavy enough that it doesn’t move when she’s eating out of it.

Not sure what “ How was the ease of removal?”. My guess the question refers to ease of cleaning the Feedoo Slow Feeder Dog Bowl? Answer: very easy with a textured plastic scrubber, soap, and hot water. If food is dried on, I fill it with plain water and let it soak 30 minutes or so, then scrub with hot soap and water. The dish can also be washed in a dishwasher. The metal is high quality, does not rust, is not noisy, and has a weighted feel, so it does not move around much (unless you have a 65 lb dog of pure muscle, like me!).

After trying a stainless steel bowl with a plastic slow feeder insert, I found these were too deep and frustrated my medium sized dogs as they found it impossible to get to some bits of food out and they were having to really force their noses into some small deep sections, which looked very uncomfortable. These bowls are shallow and more similar to a plastic version I had, and are perfect to slow them down enough to ensure they don’t gulp. I make sure to squash their wet food down into the bowl and sprinkle the dry food around the sections. They don’t take an age to finish their food, but that’s not a concern to me as long as it slows them down enough to enable them to eat safely. They look great too and don’t move around. Really pleased.

This is the best bowl I bought for my puppy to slow him down eating his raw food! Worked like a charm and now I can give him a big bowl and him not vacuum everything in right away. Love the fact it’s stainless steel that was my seller!!
