These units work just line the unit that comes with the Vtech two-line base station. The first batch we bought were ten years old when a lightening strike took out much of our electronics. These are the same as the first and worked flawlessly out of the box.

I ordered these to replace a couple of handsets I already had. So far they are working great but I'm not giving it five stars because there are problems with the V-Tech system as a whole. I've only had my new Vtech system for just over 2 years and to have 2 handsets quit working is just wrong and the hand sets are expensive to replace.
