Must have for shedders -Vet’s Best really is the BEST!!!
So my dogs have severe allergies and they do shed a bit even with regular brushing it’s impossible to get it all especially since they have a double coat. The top coat is straight and their undercoat is incredibly tight. We don’t mind the shedding but we needed to deal with the his allergies so that was why we bought this product. Prior to buying this we tried oatmeal baths, topical sprays and even put him on a vet prescribed medication call apiquel none of it really helped. But this product worked wonders on his itching it’s not 100% no itch but is so lessened that we don’t have to fear him hurting himself by scratching or biting. We also use the VetsBest Seasonal Allergy medication and it helps. These medicines are nondrowsy so it doesn’t put them to sleep like Benadryl or any other anti-itch medication would. It just helps relieve some of that itch so they can relax and calm. Before we started this my poor baby turtle (I know yes his name is turtle and he’s a dog) had lots of scratching spots he would scratch till his skin would bleed we were seriously worried about it and why he was scratching there were no fleas or no other health issues just this terrible itch well it turned out he is allergic to grasses, molds and gluten so with a diet change to gluten free cooking and these medications he’s doing so well his hair and grown back and while the itch will never completely go away it is under control to where he isn’t getting hurt. This medication as well as the Allergy Seasonal Medication by Vetsbest are lifesavers to us and to them. Now we can enjoy being outside with less itch and their shedding significantly less. I’d say it is at least a 75% improvement, the main thing we care about is that they feel better and enjoy activity their quality of life is so very important to us. With the itching controlled and are happier and that is a blessing to us. As I said we tried everything even expensive pharmaceuticals that did nothing but this worked we noticed a change within the first few days. A big thing he had to take into consideration though is consistency the dogs actually like the flavor of the medication so they eat it pretty easily but you have to be consistent and make it part of their schedule for us they get the medication twice a day at breakfast and dinner those times are set 8 PM is dinnertime and 8 AM is breakfast and they have snacks in between. We noticed that it was very important to not break up the routine if we went even a day without the medication because it was on order and hadn't arrived yet, the difference was instant and there was definitely a lot more itching happening. So while this does work be prepared for the investment and if you love your pet the investment is worth it for their comfort they will take this medication like my dogs do for the rest of their lives. Truth is they don’t seem to mind and the results are truly amazing so give it a try And be patient all dogs are different while mine reacted very quickly to it different dogs have different systems but I cannot stress how important consistency is. A consistent schedule for dosing is important that is something you cannot mess up on, the same thing as if we taken medication and have to take it every day at a specific time once you got a schedule it has to stay that way. I’d give 100 stars if I could for this product my pets are part of my family and their health is just as important as mine.

A must have for an allergy dog
A purchase that I keep, they seem to help my big boy. I give him these & the pre pro biotic drops an he is doing okay. No skin irritation, and he has no issues in taking them in the morning and or evening.

Ineffective for my dog. But worth a try for yours for the price.
These were ineffective for my dog. They did not relieve his itching or shedding at all. However, for the price it is worth a try with your dog. I did not notice an off-putting smell. They are fingertip sized tablets. While I can pill my dog easily, it would also be easy to crush this up into or over some food. I did not try to just give it to my dog plain even now they're supposed to be flavored well.

I'm impressed
I have a basenji mixed with something that normally has blue eyes (jack Russell/Australian shepherd we have no clue) she was a rescue and we've had her about a year. She was skinny when we got her and would scratch all the time. To the point it was really annoying and would wake us up at night multiple times. She also shed a lot and I was bummed because basenji are supposed to be low shedders. But then again she's mixed. I've tried changing her food to a grain free but my vet advised against it and it didn't seem to make a difference anyway. I have changed up her shampoos trying shed shampoos, oatmeal shampoos, medicated moisturizer shampoos... I've added conditioners and itch spray... Tried baking soda or apple cider vinegar in her baths... Tried more time between baths, less time between baths, waterless baths with foam shampoo... Flea meds and shampoos... Then on a whim I tried this. Thought heck, for $8 if it doesn't do anything then no harm done... IM ASTONISHED. I mainly wanted her to stop itching, but the less shedding that comes with it AND she doesn't smell near as bad!! She has short fur and when I tell you that I used to have to gather her fur after her bath or it would have stopped up my drains and now I shed more than she does during bath time. I wasn't expecting much but I'm impressed for sure. Now she is not at all treat motivated. She's not one to want treats so getting her to take this is tricky. But she's super picky. She will eventually take it so I imagine a normal dog would love the taste. Sometimes I have to slip it in behind her back teeth so she will swallow it whole. She's a healthy 26 pound dog now and takes 1 a day with some hemp treats also for her anxiety.

Made my dog much much worse!
I gave this faithfully to my dog who gets seasonal allergies, thinking it might help him. I gave him the tab and a half for his weight, twice daily and was almost through the second bottle. He really enjoyed the taste of them. I know it can take time for herbs and supplements to kick in so I kept giving them to him. He just kept getting worse and worse though. Ihad never seen him this bad, raw oozing skin, losing fur like crazy, skin flaking horribly, etc. He was totally miserable. I missed an entire day and then the next day too, until evening when I gave hima dose. During that second day he seemed better. After I gave him that evening dose, the next morning, he was a mess again! There is something in these that he must be allergic to. I stopped this last week, after that one evening dose and he is SO MUCH BETTER! I started giving him cod liver oil and he loves it. The skin flaking is almost totally gone and he isn't gnawing on himself like he was, anymore. Just beware that if they have allergies, they can be allergic to these too. If they start getting worse after awhile, withhold it for a day or two, see how they do, then give another dose. You can see if they don't tolerate it, especially if they are doing better when stopping it. I learned the hard way, unfortunately, for my dog.

I ordered 2 bottles of this supplement. When I received them 1 bottle was normal and one was clearly bloated and under pressure. Both have the same lot number and expiration date. I am suspicious that the bloated one wasn't stored proper and shouldn't be used. I contacted the manufacturer with photos and never heard back. Cannot recommend to buy if the product received may not be good anymore and manufacturer doesn't reply to my concerns.
