Cheap, easy tracking option.
UPDATE: After working well for 6 months the tracker failed - no lights, no response to calls or texts. The service from the supplier was excellent. After running through some recommended checks (I had already done these checks but repeated them to be sure) the supplier offered to replace with no charge. It's disappointing that the original unit failed but I can't fault the after sales service. I bought this tracker for my ageing motorhome and was pleasantly surprised by it's quality and accuracy. You will need a constant DC supply (12-36v) and a location which is not screened by metal vehicle bodywork - quite easy in a motorhome with a GRP body. Power consumption seems to be minimal so since I have a solar panel on the van I connected it to the leisure battery. I used a GiffGaff PAYG sim which works well but because the tracker uses SMS in the basic location mode, at 10p per message this can get through credit quite quickly. Perhaps 1p Mobile might be a better option. It is possible to use an app or website which will allow tracking, access being free for the first 12 months then $5 US for a further 10 years. I've found accuracy to be within 5 metres and often better which is fine if you're looking for a big white box on wheels! I would not expose the unit to the elements because it doesn't appear to be fully waterproof but in my case this was not a problem. The instructions need to be interpreted from Chinese English and some of the SMS commands could be better explained but there is plenty on the internet for this generic GPS tracker. The supplier also emailed supplementary information a day after delivery which would have been useful if I hadn't already set the unit up! In conclusion, I was favourably impressed by this little unit and the only thing I cannot yet comment on is it's durability ... time will tell.

Good tracker.
This is a good, simple device. It works well, once it has been set up properly, although the instructions are dire. Location and move alert work well for me. Thanks to those who have put more detailed instructions in their reviews. You need to ensure the battery is strong, such as car battery, and the unit is not blanked from the sky by metal overhead. As others have mentioned, you need a simple SIM card for pay as you go, not a monthly bundle. I found Giffgaff works well for that.

Great product, hopeless instructions
This is a cheap way of tracking your car, motorcycle or scooter. 1. Throw the hopeless instructions in the bin and look at reviews and questions on here. Much better. 2. Buy a sim card. I went for the Gif Gaf one Amazon offer for 99p. It works a treat. You will need to top up the first time but you get a free £5. 3. Activate your Sim Card using a mobile phone. You may also have to create an online account depending on the provider. 4. Store this new number in your main personal phone 5. Once your sim card is active fit to the tracker. It will just open using your nails as the screws come separate. 6. Test the tracker it on the battery of your car/bike first BEFORE you fit it. it will take a minute to power up and then all the lights will flash on the front of the box. 7. To test send a text to the tracker number- smslink123456 8. In a few seconds you will get a google map link back. Click on link and location of bike/car is revealed. 9. Read some reviews about setting time. It’s a bit hit and miss. What worked for me was- Time zone 123456 0 you will get a "time zone OK" text back. Even though it wasn’t! 10. Once you are happy with it it’s time to fit it to your car or bike. 11. fitting takes a little bit of knowledge (what is a positive cable and what is a negative cable) and I would conceal wires when fitting. There is a really good video on you tube fitting to car but same principals apply to a bike 12. You can fit direct to the battery and is a small drain but nothing to worry about and charging all the time or like me fit the wires within the terminals. If you do this the tracker will charge when you run the bike. If you use regularly this won’t be a problem. The tracker is tucked away somewhere concealed. 13. It’s an excellent bit of kit. I only wish I fitted it to the bike that I had stolen, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I hope I never have to use it to find my bike but it does provide me with a bit of peace of mind... Along with a big lock.

Works great,but killed my battery
Easy enough to setup following the clear instructions set by other users, put a giffgaff sim in and fitted to my Honda 1000 motorcycle with no problems. Went away for a few days and came back to a totally flat battery on my bike, tried altering the settings to make sure it goes into sleep mode and again suffered a flat battery after a few days. Removed the unit and everything is fine. The principal is great, but for me it wasn’t fit for purpose so has remained removed.

Wow, i was skeptical, but it works really well, as long as you read the instructions and can follow directions. Once you set it up, its pretty much set and forget. Just make sure you get a sim card that supports 2g, its really that simple. This tracks with an error of about 0.5-5feet, just for giggles to test, i put it on my dash and drove home from work and i parked in the same spot my car shows up on google earth. When i looked at the last gps update, it showed the tracking pin on my dashboard in the car on the map. Tried it again the next day, same thing inna parking spot with a good frame of reference at work, this thing is amazing for the price. Onoy complaint is that it gives me tons of low voltage alarms when the battery is connected to the tender since stops charging momentarily to test voltage and the sudden fluctuation set off the voltage detection alarm.

Love it! Works as expected. Might help to include in the posting that it's compatible with older GSM frequencies. For Canada use, go with cellular service provided by Petro Canada (Rogers). Bell or Wind is not supported.

I'm a verified purchaser of this here and believe me when I say DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...! Installed it OK, it worked one time, then it died and never worked again. Get the TrackmateGPS Mini 3G H Real Time Hard Wired GPS Tracker for $49.99 Prime here, it works on their web site when you log in, just go to your account and click the little arrow on your device list and it opens a clear map with address point every time for $16/ month. Cost more but reliable, not like this $18 piece of garbage. Now I gotta figure out how to get the sim card account canceled.

This is not weather sealed and is restrictive to where it can be placed as it states that it can't be installed under any metal therefore can't be placed under a hood etc.. I also had to purchase and active a cell SIM card to use it. I wound up returning it and paid a little more for a better sealed unit here on Amazon that can be placed anywhere in the car without restrictions or signal interference. I do have to pay them $12 a month to keep it activated but it's cheaper than the SIM card was costing me.
