Incredible Sound Quality - Easy Setup
The Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Generation USB Interface has been outstanding. The sound quality is noticeably clear, warm, and clean, and the preamps are excellent for vocals and instruments. I specifically chose this version because I’m using a RODE dynamic microphone, and I needed an interface with clean preamp gain and proper XLR support without introducing noise or requiring extra hardware. The Scarlett handles that perfectly and provides the power and clarity the Rode needs to sound its best. The setup was super simple (literally plug and play) and it connected immediately with zero complications. The build quality feels solid and professional, and the controls are intuitive and easy to dial in. Latency is virtually nonexistent, the headphone amp is strong and clean, and the gain LED indicators make it easy to monitor levels without clipping. It’s compact enough for a desk setup but still feels premium. If you’re looking for a small, reliable interface that delivers professional-grade audio for podcasting, voice recording, instruments, or content creation, this is a fantastic choice. Worth every dollar. Highly recommend.

Simple, works, sounds good
Got this for a new gaming PC with Win11. No drivers available for my old 8-channel audio interface, which was overkill anyway. (I make game videos with voice commentary and only need one channel). Installed and set up Scarlett Solo with no problems. Simple, does what I need it to do, sounds great, what's not to like? My only nitpick is that the XLR input gain control seems to be scaled oddly. There's a tiny sweet spot around 75% where I can record voiceover I'm happy with. A few degrees too far counterclockwise and the audio is barely above the noise floor. A few degrees too far clockwise and it clips. So basically, I set it, put the box where I can't accidentally bump the knob, and forget it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
This item is everything it says it is!!!!! I have already started making PROFESSIONAL SOUNDING MUSIC using this HUB and its now my favorite thing to use while making music......im going to upgrade in the future and get the APOLLO TWIN X but for now THIS IS PLENTY PROFESSIONAL POWER AND SOUND FOR THE MONEY!!!! my favorite feature so far is the AIR FEATURE which brings your voice more to the front and makes you sound really professional. I also love the fact that it it has HALO LIGHTS cause thats the only way I know how to MEASURE SOUND. Don't get me started on the volume. THIS HUB CAN GET SERIOUSLY LOUD so ensure that you are listening or mixing at a SAFE LEVEL FOR YOUR EARS. Last but not least the BUILD. I love the quality of it the way it feels when you take it out the box. To me it feels KINDA PREMIUM the only issue I didnt like is that the box comes with a USB A TO TYPE C cord. I think they should of given us a TYPE C TO TYPE C but thats a small gripe. Other then that if you invest in this HUB your going to love it. Just so you know this HUB also comes with PRO TOOLS AND FL STUDIO PRE INSTALLED all you have to do is finish setting up whichever of those DAW'S YOU WANT TO USE and it can also run ALBLETON. so with all that being said. ENJOY YOUR NEW ITEM.

Everything I wanted
I read many reviews of this audio interface identifying it to be a favorite choice of podcasters to provide a clean, professional vocal sound with no hassles. And that's exactly what I got. I already had a very good mic, a very quiet minicomputer, a studio space, a good pair of headphones, and a good set of monitors. This wonderful piece of kit pulled it all together, and now I'm knocking out my audiobook--with podcasts to follow!

Requires updating the firmware as soon as you plug it in.
I could not use this out of the box because the factory programming would not allow me to use the headphone jack and the XLR input at the same time. The headphones would cut out as soon as I talked into the XLR mic. I looked up the issue and it was bad software. Which seems to be a running theme with this company if forums are to be believed. Download their software and run it to update the amp's firmware. Then PROMPTLY DELETE IT. I kept getting alerts their software was trying to silently backdoor my firewall settings even though I had it set to not check for updates. It also silently set up a run on startup command that I never allowed. So unless your audio recording software is Audacity there is no need to keep the factory software on your computer. All the so called features it provides are already in most recording software. Another issue I ran into is that my Scarlett Solo 4th gen does not like USB 3.0 ports. I know that the amp is USB 2.0 only but that should not have caused issues when I plugged it into the 3.0 port but it did. I had to shuffle my USB devices around to free up a 2.0 port. The device I moved to the 3.0 port did not have any problems so it was not the port being dead. Cons: -Bad firmware comes preinstalled -Company software is argumentative -Cheap USB cable comes with it -Online Only instructions on how to set up and they require you to go to multiple manuals to be told what to do -Not enough gain for a basic SURE SM7 Pros: -Solid feel to the construction -Good feeling and functional knobs -Works well after fine tuning -Has enough gain to run the newer SURE SM7dB when the mic is set to +28dB -Good sound quality -Headset has independent volume knob -Clean interface -Air boost feature works and is not a gimmick

Easiest setup ever.
Easiest setup ever. I got the 4th gen Scarlett Solo. I have an existing interface that wasn't compatible with the new pc I got for whatever crazy reason. I've used it for years and it's been fine but I had so many issues I almost gave up. Purchased this as a hail mary before buying a whole new pc setup and it worked! Instantly! Install is a snap right out of the box and it works for everything I need it to be. If you're having issues with Windows 11 or an old interface with a newer pc. I recommend the newest version of this extremely popular interface brand. It just makes sense.

I've never sounded better
This is THE perfect audio interface for voice over, it can handle loud noise without peaks, and works with my macbook seamlessly. Super recommend, good audio comes from good interfaces, and this is a GREAT one!

Great dac for a single person audio pipeline!
The Solo is a solid DAC for a one man setup, got it originally to get into high-fi audio and combo'd it with the Sienhouser HD550s and the Scarlett (alongside good gear) does give an audiophile like listening experience, listening to flac files was a great time, and using it to process video game audio made me near omniscient during gameplay. I also happened to start playing guitar and bass about 7 months ago and it's great for plugging in instruments to an amp sim or recording, ditto goes for any xlr mics, mine is a budget dynamic mic that needs particularly high gain to be audible (the pd100 from Maono) and the Scarlett handles it no problem. I can't properly speak to the sound quality of the L/R speaker outs since I'm using a pair of Pebble V3s in an untreated room, but I'm assuming it would be similar in quality to what I heard from my headphones. As always, the quality of your sound is going to be determined by your audio pipeline as a whole and this is only one part of that chain, though I feel this device is a particularly strong link in any one person setup.

Excellent plug-and-play audio interface for the price
The Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen has been great to use for both recording and music production. It's truly plug and play-setup was quick and painless, and it worked immediately with my system without any issues. Audio quality is solid, with clean input and low noise, making it easy to get good recordings without a lot of extra tweaking. Another nice bonus is the bundle of free plugins and music tools that come with the interface, which adds real value, especially if you're just getting started. It's compact, portable, and well-built, making it easy to take on the go. For the price, it's definitely worth it if you need a reliable, decent-quality audio interface without spending a lot.

Buena
