Easy Setup Camera with Solid Performance
Easy Setup Outdoor Cameras with Clear Video I used these Blink outdoor cameras for monitoring around the exterior of a home, and the setup was quick with a user-friendly app that made everything easy to get running. The video quality is clear during both the day and at night, which works well for basic outdoor security. The design is compact and doesn’t stand out too much once installed. This is my second set, and the performance has been consistent across both locations. I haven’t run into any issues with reliability so far. Overall, a straightforward and dependable option for outdoor monitoring.

Good surveillance camera
The night vision on this camera is crisp and clear. as seen in the photo I have this placed in my window if in direct sunlight it will have a glare on your video. This sleek black color blends in with everything and makes it easy to hide from intruders. The quality of these cameras are great.. down side u have to have these on wifi that includes your sync module so I hope you have good wifi for your camera system. Yes these do glitch out if over heated and my best advice plug in your cameras it saves on your battery life. Also to use these you have to have a subscription just get the small one it’s not worth getting the bigger one it all does the same thing, so save ur money. But this is a good camera

Literally amazing, skip the cheaper ones with pricy subscription plans!
If you're on the fence, just do it! We purchased a cheaper off brand doorbell and lightbulb camera in a pinch after our cars were broken into, and they worked okay but the quality was... lackluster. I bought these on a whim while they were on sale just to see the difference, and it's truly a world of difference! The quality all around is so much better, the app is easier to navigate, the system works better. The subscription plans in general are the biggest seller for me. I was paying more for a basic subscription plan for each of the cheaper cameras, and they didn't sync together like these! They were super quick and easy to install and set up, it took maybe 10 mins for each one. I purchased the doorbell as well, and i think we've decided to get a couple of the flood light cameras for the yard in the next couple of months. Best upgrade ever!

Constant connectivity issues
Connect’s fine, but will not work after initial connection. I can’t refresh screenshot, I can’t even play a live video. I have a small house and it is utterly ridiculous it won’t work. Doorbell periodically will stop refreshing also and the delayed notifications are annoying as it tends to actually miss the delivery, but will record me going outside to get it. I will be looking for a system that actually works most of the time rather than this system that works some of the time. Update: after several attempts to connect, I took it down and left it overnight. Reinstalled the next day and have had a pretty stable connection since. I wish the night vision was clearer, but overall I’m happy with the camera now.

Changed my mind and returned the Blink Outdoor 4
I have 3 Blink systems at 3 houses utilizing 10 cameras. Two houses are just Mini 2 camera systems (doesn't need a sync module) and one house utilizes a sync module. From my experience, it was very easy to install. The iPhone app is well thought out and fairly intuitive. The video quality is amazing compared to other systems I have seen. The range of the Outdoor 4 is amazing. It detects approaching vehicles over 200ft away - people over 100ft away. The Blink system seems to be well thought out. I wish other companies did as well at making their products and apps work as well as Blink's. HOWEVER, there is one major problem. Not a deal killer for me by any means, but a PIA when it happens. And you should be aware of this before you buy. If you have a very quick power "blip" (1/2 second or so blink), it can crash the entire system. And it doesn't usually recover without intervention. If you have a Sync module, the problem can be severe from a time perspective. For the Mini camera system without a Sync module, the fix usually involves unplugging the camera for about 5 seconds and then plugging it back in. It will usually restore and function just fine. While inconvenient, it doesn't eat up too much time. But if a Sync module is in your setup, the fix is a lot more work. It won't recover by just unplugging. It acts as though the whole system got its brain scrambled. The fix for a setup with a Sync module is to delete that entire system within the app and reinstall everything, starting with the Sync module. Fortunately Blink does make installing their components fairly pain free. But you will have to make adjustments to all your settings for all the components. That can eat up a bit of time. For my system with 4 cameras and a Sync module (5 components), the whole process takes about an hour to get it back up and running, including changing all the settings to my preferences. Fairly straight forward, just time consuming. Despite what technical support will tell you, that is the only way I have ever gotten a system with a Sync module back up and working after a power blip. I have used 2 systems with a Sync module and both required this intervention after a power blip. A way to avoid this kind of problem is to have the cameras and Sync module plugged into a UPS. Two of my systems utilize a UPS to power the system. They seldom have issues. The one system I cannot utilize a UPS needs regular attention from power blips and/or spikes, which are rather frequent. Previously that system only had Mini 2 cameras without a Sync module. When a problem occurred, didn't take very long to fix. But when I added the Sync module to that setup to be able to use an Outdoor 4 camera, the fix became much more of a problem. I did move the Sync module to a UPS and that has helped. To eliminate the need for a Sync module to record events when using only Mini cameras, I switched to using Blink's online recording service. It is well worth the cost with the number of time consuming problems that eliminated and the ease with which it records and plays back events. I have all three houses recording online. Works really well. But with the Outdoor 4, you have to have a Sync module (which came with the camera) even with online recording. In my opinion, the Sync module is the weak link in the chain for what is otherwise a tremendous value for what the Outdoor 4 offers. Would I recommend Blink? Absolutely! Just probably not for a remote house that would be difficult to get to in the event of a power blip. You'd be off-line until you could intervene. I have talked with folks with competing systems and their problems are much worse. And they usually paid much more than I did for my Blink systems. Blink could make their product more bullet-proof if they could just get the system components where they could gracefully handle a power blip. It would be better to have the system go completely off-line when there's a power blip and reboot in 5 or 10 seconds than to have the entire system get locked up and off-line until there's manual intervention. I just think it only fair that you know what you're getting in to. For the price, the quality of the video and how well it detects intrusion, I can accept a bit of aggravation. All my properties are local and easy to get to. For me, Blink is a good value. UPDATE: I finally had enough. The Outdoor 4 was too problematic. In a nutshell, the camera worked fine until Blink pushed an update out to the sync module. Twice. The last one was pushed out on 10/30 at 7:08pm. At 7:10pm, the entire property setup went down. No amount of trying to reboot the system worked. I thought everything was "bricked". And the sync module was plugged into a ups and was 4 ft. from the router. All the other devices connected to wifi had any issue. So it wasn't my router, despite where Blink's technical support wanted to start with diagnosing the problem. They wanted me to disconnect everything connected to the router to see it that's where the problem lay! My telling them the problem was with their pushed update fell on deaf ears. My other two systems that don't use a sync module kept working just fine and never had any issues. So my recommendation now is to consider the Blink Mini cameras by themselves. They don't require a sync module and in my experience they work very well. Don't use anything with a sync module.
